A proposal drawn up by SDA Architects, on behalf of Jacob Adler's MBH Investments, envisages a two-storey building accessed from Elland Road and located on a site between a Subway outlet and The Old Peacock pub. Three retail units, a children's day nursery and a roof-top play area are included within the plans. The proposed building would be flat roofed and constructed from a mix of horizontal timber boarding and rendered walls with glazing to the east, north and south frontages. The three shops are single storey and, according to the plans, would satisfy a requirement for additional retail space in the area, particularly on Leeds United match days. please log in to view this image The nursery, meanwhile, would incorporate two floors and have access to a walled play area which is earmarked for the roof of the development. Customer and disabled parking spaces are provided on site. Jacob Adler has owned the Elland Road since 2004 when he acquired the 12th largest football stadium in England for £8m.
