What a superb save, 3rd eye Jamo still has what it takes, as well as the hunger to perform. A Quashie header on target eh ? Wonders will never cease.
He certainly has Woops - in both senses. Must admit I did a double take when I saw it was a quashie, quashie, quashie header. Had no idea he was still playing.
Great win for England...but i'm a little concerned about the fifth bowling option for the final, i'd like to see Bresnan play as an all round option. I'm hoping for an England V India final, that would be a cracker.
India look head and shoulders above the rest in the 50 over format. They seem to have an endless supply of quality batsmen. Shikhar Dhawan being the latest. I watched his test debut v Aus and he just dismantled them. He was considered second rate for many years apparently!
India should comfortably beat England on Sundy, unless England win the toss in very favourable conditions
Off to the Pompey Ladies end of season awards, Guy's going to be there. Anything you want me to ask/tell him (besides the website is crap )?
Well that was a random evening. The awards were good, Guy wasn't there unfortunately (couldn't make it for some reason) but Penny Mourdhant MP was as was Mark Caitlin (who I shook hands with!! Exciting!) and also Iain McInnes who made an impassioned speech about taking Portsmouth Ladies to where they belong (i.e. the Super League) and reaffirmed the men's team commitment to the Ladies, which was great to see. Sadie didn't get player of the year, but she got most improved player so that was good. I'll post the awards later. One of the players who plays for the reserves made a hilarious, convuluted speech, she was a bit drunk I think, but Iain found it amusing. Then there was a disco, much drinking of Vodka and we went to Liquid where Pompey Ladies had a reserved VIP booth so we all danced and drank which was bizarre, I never thought I'd be drinking and dancing with Pompey players, and at some points it was literally with rather than just in the vicinity of them (if that makes sense)! Eventually left some time after 3.
Sounds like a good evening was had by all Lapras. Did you ask about their lack of presence on the official website? Hopefully they'll rectify that omission pronto.
Indeed! Well the dude who runs the website, called Neil Weald or something, was meant to be in attendance but for some reason he didn't come. Perhaps because he was embarrassed at attending a PFC Ladies event when the website he runs doesn't have any mention of them.
Still, I hope Friday night has broken the ice slightly with some of the players, even if I had no idea who was who and I doubt they even know who I am either. Though I guess nothing breaks the ice like large amounts of vodka and terrible drunken dancing! They say I'm a part of the team but tbh, I honestly don't feel like I am actually part of the team. I've never even met any of the players and I feel kinda.... seperate.
