Blimey, I've only heard of one of those films. Surprised they're not showing Spirited Away as isn't that his most famous film?

<laugh> <laugh> <laugh> Cheeky young whippersnapper - the only thing I ever saw of the war was the bomb craters in central Portsmouth that they still hadn't cleared in the 60s.

Actually I've just got a very vague recollection of them.

3rd eye watched the warships sailing by from the very same beach.

The Spanish armada must have been quite a sight :)

It was only a few seasons ago that they couldn't get rid of him for £3m. Add to that fact that he is quite injury prone and only had one good season, spuds should sell him before Madrid sober up.

You must try to get Totoro, well all of them if you can.
Wednesday it's The Cat returns which is a sort of sequel to Whisper of the Heart, featuring the Baron again.
Thursday is Only Yesterday, which is very slow paced but it's interesting to see how different country folk are from city dwellers in Japan.
Friday is Kiki's Delivery Service, about a young witch who leaves home to find a job in another country.

It's a shame they didn't include Laputa Castle in the Sky which is a favourite of mine.

Yeah Kiki's was the one film I recognised. One of my lecturer's played a bit of it in a lecture once. Though I have to say, this anime fest is making me feel quite nostalgic (I had a gf years ago, possibly the only girl I've ever loved, who was a big anime fan - tempted to add her on Facebook, but not sure how she'd react).

"Anyone else do boxing/used to be a boxer?"

I used to box a few years ago. I only stopped because I was working 5 days a week as a mechanic, so by the time I got home I was knackered anyway. When I stopped being a mechanic I was already out of the habit so I never really went back.

I do train with my brothers a few times a month though. They are both cage fighters.

Cage fighting is just Mixed martial arts. If you've seen the Ultimate fighting championship on TV then that's what it is. Although at amateur level, there are a few more rules.

My brothers have both had fights in the cage. Couple of wins and losses between them. I personally can't get in the cage because of my ankle being to fragile. Hence why i only train, and when I do train, people are careful to watch my left ankle.

Farnborough game has been postponed. The conference are a horrendous hypocritical and vindictive organisation, even by footballing standards. Now I have no plans for tomorrow either, how annoying.

I suppose Paul Gascoigne will go down the pub for a drink instead, along with his mates Messi, Best and Zidane.........

Hey Lapras, why don't you nip down to Fratton Park instead to take in the Pompey match ?

    Ha!

My mum said I should go but I was reluctant due to the cost and travel time plus the fact that I'm hoping to go to Havant for Pompey Ladies' opener next weekend but then, t's going to the home of football or being bored all day.

But we were never being boring, we had to much time to find for ourselves.

Would you like ITV to go back to the old regionalised format?

    Remember these?

I liked the Southern TV and HTV West intros.

TVS was quite good but I hated the TSW one when we moved to Plymouth. Thankfully they toned it down after a couple of years!
