I only found out last week that I could have put the whole shebang in a deposit account last month (zero growth) and it would have been safe at that amount until I took it in September, but the website crashed for a few days. So, when it came back on I transferred my total - into the wrong account, which is safer, but not 100% like the deposit. And in the three days it took to process, it lost another £3k on top of the £22k so far. And now I'm told I can't change it again for a fortnight! Anyway, there's still well, well enough to pay off the mortgage, the car and a few grand on much needed decorating and repairs, like my gutters. I've used my savings to pay for my daughter's deposit on her new home, and I've paid for my holiday in Cape Verde in September (bad move really, I don't even know if that will happen). But ****ing hell - I'm still on 100% pay - and overtime - and I have the option to do another couple of years after taking my pension (though I'll get hammered for tax, obviously). But some family members and neighbours are up **** creek compared to me if this thing goes on into the summer. But the most important thing? The dog's arthritis is well on the mend. Seriously, the very thing that decimated my pension has put things into perspective - your health and that of your loved ones and friends and neighbours is more important than money, and with three family members in the front-line of the NHS I would honestly give up the whole lot to see them safe. There's going to be a new world and 'normal' emerge after this episode anyway, so nobody's future will be what they thought it would be. Reminds me of the old saying ; If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans'. Now, how do you play this game, and am I just in it as the fresh meat for the hitmen?
Probably, back in my wolf of wall street days selling penny stocks to old scandies with too much money i made a **** load. Ill pay for it in hell like but whatever innit the white armani suit was worth it. Made a lot of dosh bruv.
Appreciate the nomination mate, but I've got too much going on (yes, even despite being indoors 99% of the time!), so I wouldn't be reliable enough to play consistently. I hope it goes well though
