1,800 tickets sold, and Stoke have slipped back below us in the table. It’s going to be a cracking day out next Saturday @Clb74 @Miketyson2007Junior
Getting a couple of tickets for this one. A lot of my Wife's family are from Stoke and we will be spending the weekend with them.
That is true, they know how to eat and drink up there. A few years ago I went to visit them and we saw Stoke play Palace. We were in the Pub about three hours before the game. We had five pints, as a Southern softie that is about my limit. We went into the clubhouse and had two more. By this time I was reeling all over the place. I don't remember much of the game,
Ask the family to get you in some bottles from Titanic Brewery …. they are FANTASTIC !!!! brewers especially their Plumb Porter a magnificent plummy dark beer
The experiment of playing Pratley farther up than usual seemed a strange one to me and I don't think it will be repeated at Stoke. A lot of CL posters made him MOM, and I can see why, he worked his socks off to try and pressurise Barnsley, but he's 34 now and is due a rest. Maybe Bowyer knew that Barnsley were a filthy team and Pratley's physical presence was a factor. Anyway I expect one of our new signings to replace him, but have no idea which one.
The substitutions were a rare error by our brilliant manager last Saturday. They caused us to lose all momentum. David Davis is very highly rated by Birmingham fans, and is a like for like replacement for Pratley.
Timor Hamed was poor, can't help feeling that McGeady would have caused the Barnsley defence a lot more trouble.
Hemed looks like he is running through treacle carrying a fifty pound weight. There is more movement in my wallet. I would have Aneke on the bench instead of him.
We lost our threat after the subs and that’s why we had to sit back and defend - never a good tactic with our vulnerable defence
