Isn't that what every football tactician worth his salt says? Sort out the defence as a priority As much as it's not a great watch but needs must and let's face it we would rather have won both games the way we did than lose heroically conceding three gals a game with 80% possession and 30 attempts on goal of which only a handful were on target.
Fantastic you Queens Park RangersI losed my faith for a while but then you show me anda all your fans what you are made of
Fantastic result and safe. All that really mattered last 2 games, to have won them both is magnificent. Now we can't start dreaming again for next season, the hope looms it's head once again !
Just woke up to see we won and survived to stay in the Championship……. Absolutely blooody brilliant! Well done players. Well done manager. Well done to us fans. Well done Queens Park Rangers!
Busy all day with stuff but followed last 15 mins on Sky before dashing out til now. Great stuff and seems so fitting for Uncs to score the winner that takes us to safety. How we've managed to turn what appeared to be certain releation into a reasonable 50 points, I have no idea. Immense respect to GA and the lads. Looking forward to Monday which will be fun. Lots to sort out before next season but for now, we celebrate!
Credit to Gareth Ainsworth for finding a system to get us to win. It was not pretty, but it was a very disciplined team effort and surprisingly effective. Well done as I was a doubter!
Well done lads. It was never in doubt. Once again that possession stat means sfa . Your shots ratios are very impressive. Last week 6 shots, 5 on target; today 4 shots, 4 on target. Good luck next season Unfortunately, since Gareth left us, our wheels have fallen off and it doesn't look good for next season. You bastard Gareth . If you get to chat to him tell him Amanda and her dad (that's me) and Harry are not happy
I put 20 on us finishing top six when we were top of the table So it had nothing to do with the Christmas clock
What a season! Top of the league in October and win away at the two promoted teams and just avoid relegation. How very QPR.
Thanks Taff. You're a credit to your Swans. Better luck next year (unless you're playing us of course). Have a great summer mate.
Just found my eyes after a heavy day and night in Dublin. Great news. We really needed to stay up!!. Going to find a corner and curl up
Nines, very true. But now that we are finally safe from relegation and the season for us is in-effect over, I would really like to know what actually happened to create such a long and unprecedented collapse. I have heard many wooly and vague explanations, but I do not believe that we have really identified the root cause. I would love if someone could enlighten me. This might be a good close-season thread “What happened & Where do we go from here?”
