Wasn't aimed at you. My point is that Suarez has stated, as unequivocally as possible, that he is happy here and is not looking to leave. Of course, he could be just saying that, or circumstances could change, but there's no indication of that at the moment so why get ourselves all worked up over hypotheticals? The papers take a fragment of his statement and lift it out of context to back up an opinion that for the moment has no substance. So why worry about something that we have no control over anyway?
Not He's not going anywhere option.? Huh? What gives. Am I forced to say he's leaving? Can't vote. He's not going in the Summer, this should be the stance of the Club Owners and Fans.
Think only Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich could and would buy him. None of those targets are unrealistic. Juventus couldn't afford him, Italian Clubs are tight.
I reckon he's gonna get the LFC crest tattooed on his ass, and then stay at Liverpool FC for the rest of career becoming our all time top goal scorer, he'll also name his future daughter Brendan.
I was pretty confident that Luis would stay one more season but this interview does concern me slightly. His contract expires in 2018 so if he was to leave, he will do so on OUR terms and we will command a huge fee. This summer is crucial ...
The chavs have mentioned it and asked if they should\would. that's one place he definitely ain't going All opinions should be point blank refusal he is going to go, all this talk of is he, if the club do not slam the door shut on this one he may just go
He would consider certain CL clubs, not any CL club. he's saying if Real Barca or the like come in, he cannot turn it down but without actually mentioning a club's name, as a career joining one of those clubs would be the pinnacle of a footballers career. None of those clubs wanted the great Scholes When Real wanted Ronaldo they just took him. Owen, the same.
The next 8 games are crucial IMO in terms of pushing for European football and providing the optimism that this team is improving and will push further next season - hopefully it will be enough to keep our best players here (not just Luis).
That quote doesn't limit the field to the 2 Spanish giants, he's saying that if an offer from a CL club comes in, he'll have a decision to make. There's only a handful of clubs that could afford him though.
We face the same issue. Unless the impossible happens & we somehow get 4th, then we'll lose Fellaini & maybe Baines this summer - plus Moyes! There's a gulf between the CL clubs & the rest, you've largely been on the right side of the divide though, this might be the year that you suffer the consequences of missing out again.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21874309 Lost in translation. Very unlike Suarez In his naitive country saying he is open to offers transalates to 'I love the club and will never leave' on Merseyside
We've already been suffering BB. We've lost out on targets already over the past couple of seasons and had our player target options limited too.
