We're actually after another CB as well (supposedly), young lad from Estudiantes called Juan Foyth. Think the plan is to go with the three at the back formation, so Sanchez will join Vertonghen and Alderweireld there once he's settled. Dier will likely go back up to DM and compete with Dembele & Wanyama. Wimmer's on the way out too so I think CB was high on the agenda (especially if we do switch formation).
He was the ****house that played at the back for Ajax in the final, Pogba's shot hit him on the way in. Club record fee ffs.
From what I know of the lad, he is immensely gifted, and fast, and can play anywhere across the back, so I expect him to be rotated fairly often with the other players. He is an immense talent. Poch would not be breaking the club's record for a player he expects to be sitting for long periods on our bench.
Yeah I'd like another striker but I think it's tough for us to try and persuade a good striker to come in and basically play second fiddle to Kane.
The best strikers win trophies pal, you wanna count goals feel free to sit in a corner with the Newcastle fans and chat about numbers. Meanwhile we'll be looking at that Solskjaer goal that completed our treble for the rest of our days.
Gerrard scored some important goals. Not sure theres another players on his scale in that regard? PL teams only! Kane won't stick around imo if they don't start winning things. This season they have to win silverware, even the league cup would do. It's all well and good catching up with the top teams regarding playing, but now they have to deliver. No excuses imo.
Gerrard scored some important goals for sure but in terms of winning trophies including the league he's obviously missing something! Drogba... He was a big game trophy winner. United rarely relied on the hero striker, we just had a lot of goals in the team overall. Scholes was always a big game player.
On the Spurs signings thread HIAG is claiming that he's watched this player since he was a lad and been out to watch Ajax to track his progress. HIAG the scout
You claimed you saw him playing for Ajax as a kid though, but forgot that he didn't join Ajax until last year
Barcelona have told Liverpool they have until Sunday to accept their £118m bid for 25-year-old attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho, or the offer will be withdrawn. (Times) What part of "**** right off!" has Barca not understood thus far?
Barca invited the world's media to Coutinhos 'unveiling' last Friday. Coutinho didn't turn up because he's not for sale Especially not for the 16mil a year for 5 years that Barca have offered. Plus add ons including discovering aliens etc. Quite simply pay 130mil up front or **** off with your ridiculous offers. Tapping up on a national scale.
Messi to city rumours today... Supposedly they are willing to pay his release clause and has met his representatives. He isn't after a new contract is he?
