A chance to put the Club’s money where you’re mouth is, at least metaphorically speaking. It is net spend we are looking at not gross spend.

So how much do you figure we will actually spend.

I put down £140+ by doing what I always do and not reading the instructions.

However I honestly believe if the right player for the right position (not price) becomes available and their agent says its a goer then they will spend whatever the hell they want.

Fully expect at least 1 statement signing to flog shirts. However I am convinced this will be Bale if Wales qualify for WC and it will be a free transfer pay as you play.

 

£90-£110 million because that’s what it will take to take us up a level.

Villa have already strengthened and they are likely one of our competitors to climb up the table.

It looks like we are not signing Taggart so the Lodi signing alone will be 30m+.

We need a striker, a midfielder and a defender.

Villa are gonna go for broke early days of the window, get the signings everyone knows are leaving and have nothing in reserve for later in the window.

Kamara looks like a cracking young prospect but he is very very defensive minded and plays in the position Bruno was brought in for. Coutinho was always looking like he would end up there permanently. Would be very very very surprised if Tarkowski speaks with them however if he does then meh.

As for we need a striker, midfielder and defender? I'd say ST and LB are the top priorities followed by RW and CB then a keeper. We're looking good with our starting midfield at present. Which is my only tiny doubt over the Paqueta deal.

 

I think we need to strengthen the CM area so we can start to control games even more and keep Jonjo away from that starting 11.

 

He's already 5th choice behind Bruno/Joelinton/Willock/Longstaff. Have a feeling Shelvey may leave to somewhere like Fulham

 

I would think for his own sake that wouldn’t be a bad idea. Every time he plays I cringe mostly.

His time is up. We are going to have far better players than him.

Longstaff actually seems to play well next to Bruno. Funny that!

 

I think that's more a Howe thing than a Shelvey thing and I'm going to say, I reckon Shelvey's been better since Howe came in too. He's lifted his game.

I would have said £100m so went with £90-110m

Whole team doesnt need changing, and we clearly have a semi decent side atm, £100m will def have it up another level though.

 

We need a left back, striker, right/attacking midfielder and a centre back. Arguably we also need a goalkeeper and another striker. How you get that for under £140m I have no idea.

Another left back on top of Targett, or are you saying Targett is that left back? £15m seems a steal for Targett, and we dont need another LB if we have him.

If we just get him Nunez and Botman im im dreamland. As for keeper, i dunno, not sure Henderson is any improvement on Dubravka.

 

We do like. Jamal Lewis is complete dog ****, and we realistically need 2 defenders in each position. It will take a number of windows to get there however.

 

Targett with Dummett as back up? But also there's been rumours about Lodi from Athelico.

For us though, a guy who can get first team football ain't gonna want to be a stand in bench warmer.

 

We need targett and lodi otherwise you get one injury and you're ****ed

 

Neither of them is gonna wanna be back uo to the other though.

Both have good fitness records.
