Says it all when Sheff United started with 4 forwards last night and Jebbison still couldn’t make their match day squad. Brewster cost around £23M
The Gunners hope to tie down 21-year-old English winger Reiss Nelson to a new contract before sending him out on loan. Would love to think it was to Sunderland
No chance I would have thought. Can see him being loaned to a premier league team targeting survival. Newcastle could be likely.
Wasn't Nelson on loan at a Bundesliga team last season? I doubt he'd be loaned to a L1 team. Pie in the sky idea.
To be fair to him, he is entitled to his opinion. The problem is, we don't need to have that opinion regurgitated time and time again. We understood him the first time.
THE future of Will Grigg is set to be decided before the end of the transfer window with the Sunderland striker angling for a move back to the Midlands. The Northern Irishman moved to Wearside for a reported £4 million back in January 2019 but the move has failed to live up to it's promise with just eight goals in 62 appearances in all competitions. He spent the second half of last season on loan with MK Dons where he scored eight goals in 20 league games. Lee Johnson currently has Grigg, Ross Stewart and Aiden O'Brien as his striking options but the Black Cats boss says Grigg's mindset is not on playing in a Sunderland shirt as he looks to make a move closer to his family. "Will has made it pretty clear over a period of time that he wanted to get back closer to his family that reside in and around the Midlands area, and in that sense you then have very different agendas," said Johnson. "Obviously Sunderland's agenda is to create the best possible team for the best possible price; his agenda will be to provide for his family and be as happy as possible but still get paid as much as he possibly can. "And any other club, a possible suitor, will - like Sunderland - want to get a player in at the lowest possible cost.
I’m convinced we have a striker lined up queue Johnson’s comments about Grigg and the club having different goals. And then hopefully we get josh Key in.
Off topic here but if anyone has a side in the fantasy premier league, here’s the code to join a 606 Sunderland league me and Prehab created earlier ….. there’s another thread jmhoq4
Like LJ says..we've had positive talks with clubs about our targets. If we don't sign them we're not in for them. Imo.
Not long ago he was saying that both Blackpool and ourselves had both had bids accepted but they were waiting to sign a replacement!!!!!????
Spot on! If we are to sign another 2 or 3 players, the deals will be signed, sealed and delivered before Nixon even gets a call.
this is a myth - he has never said that. I keep seeing people saying he has, he never did. Nixon is a twat but this is where I have sympathy with him and other ITKs. People take what they say, twist it, then tell their mates or post about it and before you know it everyone thinks it’s true. Nixon has only ever said that us and Blackpool have come close to the £600k valuation (but not met it), and that once they get a RB, Gabriel will be sold. He has since said that Forest need another in before selling, which has been evidenced by their new right back playing left back yesterday
He knows a lot, without question. The notion he knows and hears nothing is complete rubbish. Obviously not everything is right but that's because things change or he gets told a few porkies, who doesn't!
the other thing with Nixon is you have to pretty much ignore everything he tweets unless it’s a specific tweet from him rather than a reply to somebody. if he has something to report - he puts it out there, and is usually right. people ask him questions and he keeps himself relevant by answering them vaguely.
Can’t agree mate. Almost everything he posts is either second hand or speculation. If he gets anything that’s right, he’s not in the first loop, he’s merely confirming.
