I've just always wondered why some people boycott now but not then and that people just seem to forget just how bad our previous owners where and how much better off we are now in the grand scheme of things. Doesn't stop me wanting new ones, but I'd rather take the owners we have now and the current situation, over everything else I've seen in my life bar the Adam Pearson era.
yeah you've repeatedly said what has that got to do with you mocking what people are offended by though?
you do, not that it is relevant as you haven't been offering an opinion I've never said that what 'offence' means is subjective
Thing your confusing me with someone else... I'm not mocking anyone. If people want to take everything personal and look to find offense in everything that's said, that's up to them.
If an opppsing point of view is taken as a personal slight, then it probably is undstandable how the same folkwould feel personally insulted by a loyalty card.
Not how your posts looked to me, and saying people who find offence in things only do so because they’re looking to be offended is interestingly telling
Ok I’ll play When did I take an opposing view as a personal sleight? When did I say I was insulted my a loyalty card?
'cos hes said **** all that any rational human with a developed intellect would find offensive. Now goodnight, before i do.
I don’t think there was that many fans back then, so anyone who did boycott wouldn’t really show up in the figures. Plus, there wasn’t all the media pushing the news out, no social media with people trying to convince others to do this & that.
I never said I found anything he said offensive (assuming by he you meant HT2?) To be clear your statement that anyone who does find something offensive that you happen not to has an undeveloped intellect is something that I do find offensive though.
The away end was not given to awaybfans to make more money. The police said they would refuse to police the game if City did not do it. The game would not then have gone ahead with serious consequences for City. In fact the clown in charge at the police said it was such a good idea it should be made permanent. He only backed down when it was pointed out that it would look ridiculous with one coachful from Southend rattling around in an area which held 4,000 or more. Humberside Police have always seemed to have an agenda to kill any atmosphere at City games, stopping any boisterous, ie normal football fan behaviour, displays by City fans whilst giving away supporters a free rein, and still do.
To be honest you don't win a league without having a few ways to play. I've watched the circulating Russell Martin interview from March where he was really dismissive to the reporter about a Plan B. Said when most people talk about a Plan B, that they mean to be more direct and hit it up to a big man. It was intriguing to hear another manager & an outstanding up and coming one, say that he was very much against it.
