Transfer Rumours Summer Transfer Thread 21/22

It’s an upgrade on having to live in Sheffield.

 

I think we need to strengthen right through the spine of the team;

- CB - more experience
- CDM - Jones will pick up injuries and I'm not convinced by Smallwood at this level (Blackburn let him go for a reason...)
- CAM - Honeyman will pick up knocks and we looked weaker without him this season
- LW - KPL blew hot and cold in the 2nd half of the season, which is to be expected of any youngster
- ST - Magennis ended the season well and deserves his place but Eaves hasn't looked great, we need some proper competition there.

I don't see us spending much money though - a couple of free agents and a couple of loan signings from the Prem should see us good.

I think are signing Slater for the defensive midfield role, but I agree with that list. Plus a keeper now.

 

I think anywhere is an upgrade on Sheffield except donny absolute ****hole lol

Could never make up m mind regards Long, his career at city seams to have mirrored his time at Sheffield, reasonable shot stopper but never really commanded the penalty area, ended his time there as the number two keeper as well, all the same wish him good luck and thanks.

 

Talking to someone from Wigan, knows Will Grigg in some roundabout way, apparently McCann thinks he’d be a decent player for us.
I think there might be a Northern Irish link there too.

 

Oh Bruce - if only you'd have said that you knew a taxi driver from Wigan ...

What's Elder's contract situation? Agent bollocks hopefully.

 

Because while they don't join until the transfer window opens (which is when the contract will commence), the player can sign the contract and do the medical before. Once it's done, that's it, it can be announced.

I don't understand your aggressive tone as it doesn't make sense. MacGillivray has been one of the best keepers in L1 this season, he's not the best but he's a very good one and he's available on a free. We need a keeper and Ingram isn't proven at Championship level, had a poor stint at QPR too and whilst he's had a good season we need another good keeper as security.

Feel free to suggest who you think we should go for in goal, although I have a feeling you've either not got a clue or would come up with someone ridiculous
