Charlton Athletic can now confirm their end-of-season men’s first-team squad update following the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.

The following men’s first-team players remain under contract:

Karoy Anderson, Chuks Aneke, Nathan Asiimwe, Conor Coventry, Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Tayo Edun, Scott Fraser, Macaulay Gillesphey, Aaron Henry, Harry Isted, Lloyd Jones, Daniel Kanu, Miles Leaburn, Alfie May, Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Conor McGrandles, Zach Mitchell, Lucas Ness, Kayne Ramsay, Terry Taylor, Tennai Watson.

The following players, whose contracts are set to expire this summer, have been offered a new contract:

While the club have the option to trigger a one-year extension on Thierry Small’s contract, the defender has been offered a new long-term contract.

Tyreece Campbell has been offered a new contract by the club, which he has accepted.

Charlton made a number of contract offers to George Dobson pre and post Christmas. The midfielder has signed a pre-contract agreement with Hungarian club Fehérvár.

The following players, whose contracts are set to expire this summer, have not been offered a new contract:

Richard Chin, Michael Hector, Diallang Jaiyesimi, Jack Payne, Terell Thomas, Lewis Ward.

The following players, whose contracts have expired, have not been offered a new contract:

    Kazenga LuaLua, Connor Wickham.

The following players will return to their parent clubs following the expiration of their loan deals:

Tyreeq Bakinson, Panutche Camará, Lewis Fiorini, Freddie Ladapo, Louie Watson.

Everyone at the club would like to thank every player who is leaving for their efforts during their time at Charlton and wish them the very best of luck for the future.

In particular, the club would like to thank George Dobson, who has played 144 games for Charlton since joining in 2021. He's given his all for the club in every training session and every game and everyone at the club wishes him all the best in Hungary.

So the rumour about Aneke was false, so many false rumours flying around. All the people that thought the Club were going to settle with the Hungarian Club were living in cloud cuckoo land. I posted on here that would not happen.
The Club have made the right decision on the out of contract players. I also think the likes of AWB, Fraser and some others will be going out on loan.
Looking forward to seeing the calibre of players that will come in.

Good to see all of the dead wood shifted, including the crap unfit loans and has beens like Lua Lua.

All players resolutely defended by the nerd element elsewhere throughout the season - at least Nathan saw it, even if they didn’t!
    Just my perspective.

I’d have gone even further and released Isted, AMB & sold Gillesphey & Edun & Tennai.

Not all the deadwood unfortunately. There’s a lot more to be cut away.

I take that post on the OS as a starting point. Merely putting in black and white the current position. There should be a lot more changes coming over the next couple of months. If there isn’t then I think a lot of our predicted points totals and league positions will be revised downwards.

As for the Aneke rumour - is it possible that we could stop just posting rumours copied from other sites onto here ? Maybe a question or two to the originator before we copy and paste it here. Like “Who’s your source please ?” And “Has the source given you reliable information in the past and what was that ?”

    Just a thought.

We already have a Summer transfer thread (ins and outs) - it’s pinned to the top of the first page for anyone who’s not familiar with Not606 Charlton.

Can we merge yet another thread please.

    Are you sure @Ubedizzy2 ?

Only joshing :emoticon-0136-giggl I tend to agree, this thread won't explore any territory that the pinned thread won't cover, so I'll merge them.
Transferred out or kicked out, it's much the same at our lowly level :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Thanks for posting the OS information @Dick Plumb1 <ok>

I think there will still be a number of players sold or loaned out. I don't think AMB, Isted, Mc Grandles, Fraser, Henry are in Jones's plan.

That would put him in the Brian Clough level of man-management.

But wasn’t he suppose to be our creative midfielder who’d chip in with a few goals - maybe …. Just maybe NJ could do something with him ?

He did that job pretty well for a while but became lazy. If NJ can put a rocket up his ar5e it will be like signing a new player.
Junior sat in the Hearts end when they played Kilmarnock recently, and Fraser isn’t popular with the Hearts fans.
