I wonder that whether with Pugh leaving, and Hall not signing a new contract whether we are after the centre back from Aberdeen again.

I have looked in my crystal ball, and I think we are after one or two CB...we only have 2....and a few people who might just try and play there

I'm guessing we've missed the boat on that one. Seemed a few bigger clubs are now interested.

Possibly. But why panic buy now. It'll wait till the next window. Clearly if we get injuries in the run in, may need to move quickly to get a decent loan signing or two but personally I don't see the point of spending now - we must surely have enough players who could do a job for us over the next 8 games or so.

Captain and regular Centre Defender leaves day before the "new season". Wonderful! Leaves us with just 2 regular CD's plus Gubbins who is injured.

Well maybe it was the Dubbins, but then they probably don't that on today's studded slippers.

    Why are you surprised?

We may have improved and taken some lessons learned, but we still are QPR!

Why do things that easy way? :)

No surprise, it has been speculated on for more than a week now. But dissapointed in him going now with 9 games to go when we have a need for him ( short at CB), and when it seems the Club have treated him well through his problems.

Yes he played a few minutes in the cup match earlier this year. Supposed to be good but very young

Random thought - has Leistner's loan with Koln been extended beyond June? If not, chance he could be back with us for the final few games, even as cover for injury if nothing else. I think their final fixtures are on 27 June so can't see any reason for extension. Could be good news in case of injury / suspension, or just the need not to put too much pressure on Masterson.

There is no doubt our defensive frailties have cost us points this year. Our defence definitely needs improvement, so it makes sense to take the hard decisions and create space for new (improved) talent.

Leistner is on record as saying that "he will never be seen in a QPR shirt again".
We just need to tough this out till the end of the current season at which point you will rake in the transfer fees from Eze and probably BOS. At that point, if he is still in charge, Warburton will be given his 20/21 budget but you can be sure that the bulk of the incoming funds will be banked!

I suspect that the summer transfer window will be a buyers market for many clubs

The financial impact from C19 will have taken many clubs close to going under, particularly if the 20/21 season starts with the first 10+ games behind closed doors

Whether we will be able to get anything like we'd hoped for Eze, BOS and others remains to be seen but if and when any of them do go we will doubtless be complaining about the family silver being flogged in the cheap

Appreciate he did say that, but things change, and COVID has thrown a lot in the air. We have very few CBs and he will be under contract. If he wants his weekly wage he can't refuse to play.
