Can't see the usual Daily Thread so Oddy can you merge incase I missed it thanks. Couple of slight fancies today from Ireland. Vital Island 50/1 E/W Punchestown11:45 - could well make the frame at huge odds today if getting in a clean round, he will find it hard to lay it up with the market principals but he is useful enough at this discipline and can run into the placings if things fall his way. Glenloe 17/2 Punchestown 12:55 - was on for the Cork grand national when his saddle slipped when lobbing along nicely behind the leaders at the time. He travels pretty smoothly and If he jumps slicker today then I rate his chance highly among this field. My Immortal 8/1 Punchestown 15:15 - back up to his his trip today off a nice weight and with a bit of an unknown claimer taking 5lbs off, he should go very close if getting around safely. Enjoy your Sunday

In the Class-3 Handicap Chase at Uttoxeter (13:23) over an extended 2m6f, the Dylan Thomas gelding, Fern Hill, should run well at a fair price. Past form indicates he will handle the soft ground and stay the distance. Jack Quinlan rides for the Ben Case yard. 8/1 (Coral/BetVictor) top price at time of writing. E/W best option at these odds.
It's there, STH, I posted first a while ago! Oddy, will sort it out, I'm sure! (Attivo put it up about 32-minutes ago!)
Must say that's a proper Pertemps Qualifier today at Punchestown (3.15). Certainly a race to watch with the old notebook. Big question of the day must be who will finish 4th (and secure the final, and some will say, most important qualifying berth). I'll plump for Nells Well finishing 4th...
DIDERO VALLIS could go well today for the Venita Williams yard at Exeter 1500. Got some good form in the book including 3rd in the Kim Muir this year although pulled up at Aintree shortly after. 16/1 seems a good price if on song.
Quite a few in there who qualified for Last years final. Longhouse Poet interesting although might be just a pipe opener.
Vital Island came 5th. Glenloe was a N/R My Immortal got chinned right on the line There'll be days like this someone said.
What did we make of State Man today then? Think he travelled nicely and jumped well, showed very nice acceleration from two and a half out but was tiring come the line. Will he be a CH contender to reckon with ?
I think yes. Some of the press were a little disrespectful afterwards (no wow factor etc) but it was his seasonal debut and he is still very low mileage. Lots more to come from him and I wouldn’t write him off just yet. Having said that, 6/1 for the Champion Hurdle doesn’t appeal to me. I’d want a 1 in front of the 6 to be interested.
Yeah, similar sentiments to my own thinking. Judging by the way he finished I was thinking that he was only par boiled going into the race and he will strip fitter as he continues his season.
