Hi guy's and girls racing from Limerick , Curragh, Hexham and Ascot Just getting the Ball rolling to stave off the boredom, will post à few fancies when i get à better look. Goodluck all.
Some decent races tomorrow, look forward to seeing Parish Hall back in action at the Curragh where he should oblige for the in form Jim Bolger. Just done a small accum, all shorties. Upsie 5/4 4:05 Limerick Parish Hall 6/4 4:20 Curragh Molotof 4/5 2:50 Ascot Tofino Bay 8/11 4:35 Limerick 10 euro pay's in around 17/1
One from my tracker - Dazzling Susie 16-05 Limerick I probably won't be around tomorrow (today if you are reading this on Sunday!) so good luck all Edit: assuming good going. If soft or heavy, no bet
Nothing of interest on TV tonight has prompted me to have a look at tomorrows racing. I rarely do this. Anyway, two races catch my eye. Asc 4.00 Desert Cry Asc 4.40 Fruity O'Rooney I think a win on each and an e/w double is the best way to go.
Good to see Imperial Shabra out tomorrow i was beginning to get worried because he hasn't ran in 6 day's!
Was hoping to read that today. Got a freebet on the 3.25 and I like Calculated Risk on better ground, and I think Tetlami will run well in the handicap chase. Finally the jolly in the last is my nap, evens is short enough, but he could drift before the race.
Bleeding hell Heis. You tip that up every time it runs! Calculated Risk e/w for me as well Nass. I like loads of the shorties but probably won't bother with them. I've decided the Lavelle horses are fair game again. Well Regarded has been well backed. I'm on at 7/2. Parish Hall was a leading 2000 fancy last year but must have had problems. He's back today and Bolger is worth following this time of the season. A good bet at 6/4. Doubled the last two as well.
Too busy licking my wounds from Aintree to bother for a while - lost about 90% of my Cheltenham profit (same old story ) but had some shocking luck - more seconds than I care to remember (The New One was particularly painful, as was Walkon where I'd had a really sizeable e/w dabble at 25/1) and to cap it all I had Swing Bill e/w in the National and he came 6th Great sport though and, despite Sprinter Sacre blowing us away again, performance of the week has to go to Battle Group. I was there on Thursday when he dotted up in the last but couldn't bring myself to back him yesterday with just a 2 day break. He absolutely sluiced up, a great training performance.
I thought I'd had a tasty dabble on Walkon e/w. Turns out I had a very tasty dabble on Walkon, on the nose Go on then Heis, e/w lump on that one. If he places it's near enough all square, if he wins Aintree losses wiped out, if he fails to place over half the Cheltenham profit is gone. This is it, back to work tomorrow so this is the last bet for a while. **** or bust.
Hello lads. Back from the old ancestral home and just watched the GN day racing I sky+'ed. The big event is a mere shadow of its former self...staggered at how small the obstacles have become and the amount of give in them. Disappointing. However, thats another argument and well done young Ryan Mania. For me one of the contrasts of the day was the sheer artistry of the ride given by Paul Carberry on board Solwhit in relation to Jamie Moore in the opener who proceeded to lash his mount 5 times on the run in when 10L clear. What a plank with the eyes of everyone opposed to the sport firmly focused on the days racing.Amazed he didn't get a ban or referred for remedial training. Not sure Jason Maguire was at his best either on Overturn but the horse isn't a G1 chaser imo after another defeat at that level in a moderate renewal of Maghull. Wasn't aware that Battle Group has won on Thursday before hosing up again yesterday...effortless win and respite for the punters. Cantlow was disappointing for a lot of here and wondering did he bleed again? Anyhow, hope everyone enjoyed the Aintree Festival and made a few £/€. Off for an depth perusal...some decent action today at first glance. GL all.
last chance for me as well GGW & BB James on today, i know they are desperate for Ivan to do well, going well at home, got the right ground,,, so no excuses today ( i hope ) stay frosty
AIDAN O'BRIEN and son Joseph will attempt to land the Group 3 Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes (3.20) for the second consecutive season, as Nephrite returns to action at the Curragh in the 7f race. Not seen since finishing third in a Listed race over course and distance last April, the four-year-old impressed when beating Born To Sea as a juvenile, and O'Brien said: "He's in good form, we're going back to seven furlongs with him. He ran over seven furlongs last year but he's that bit older and stronger this year." found this on the RP SITE, does say why though
3 for me today Ivan Boru in the opener at Hexham, last time this gets my money if it dont do well and two at Ascot, Aazif in the 3.25 and Buck Magic in the 5.10 GL to all who play today
14:15 Ascot - Warden Hill (Tough one to lose at Chepstow yesterday, as I did take a close look at the winner who beat me, ah well, such is racing! Today's selection should appreciate the better ground, being by Presenting with the damsire Strong Gale. Distance no problem, although have to say may do better over the larger obstacles in the future?).
If I were forced to have a bet today I think it would be at the Curragh: Win Coach House 14.10 Win Parish Hall 16.20 Win Double.
