'Warts n all' rival fans will love it as it shows us ultimately failing. But any publicity is good publicity and season1 showed us to the worldwide audience. Why knock it?

 

As for that Charlton Athletic tweet......its just banter, they're 1 point above the relegation zone and who knows we could pass them at the end of the season. Hardly comfortable.

I'll watch it when we get promoted if that season is covered but I'm not interested in reliving the recent crap we've been through. Good that it's fulfilling its purpose though and advertising the club to a wide audience.

 

funny that, I like it when football is not just filled with robots who say what's scripted. A bit of banter is good.

 

Feels a bit more uncomfortable this time for me because we're still with the current regime and possibly failing still. The last one was almost drawing a line under the shambles of the past and played into the new narrative. I'll still watch it mind, but it's different this time. Players and owners still at the club, we're still at the same level. It wouldn't surprise me if there's some fallout from our own fans depending on what they see.

 

Apparently in this series Donald makes David Brent look good. The key day you see how clueless the bloke is is when they are filming transfer deadline day when Grigg signed.

Apparently they’d tried to intervene due to how ridiculous Donald comes across in some of the episodes but they were refused and it goes ahead as originally edited.

I'm not as anti-Donald as some fans. The bloke said from day one on the RR podcast he didn't have the finances to take us to the next level, prob banked on us going up 1st time i suppose. Something i didnt expect btw. In the end we were so close! Everything he does or says is scrutinised from every angle to suit peoples narratives. Damned if he does/doesn't.

 

Should of kept quiet until he delivered something then

 

This is certainly true. People just have no patience and, to some extent, I think people have been waiting for a reason to jump on him and Methven due to their perceptions of the backgrounds of these blokes. Donald and Methven have definitely made mistakes but the reaction to those mistakes has been out of proportion in my opinion.

Given that most footy fans will be sat at home with nowt else to watch - this could be one of the top shows on Netflix.

Just a bleeding shame that it didn't end well for us.

 

In fairness, that is a cracking trailer. If I was just a casual football fan, I'd be well up for watching that.

 

I was hoping they would delay the release to see if we went up this season, and if so squeeze in an extra episode so we had a happy ending lol.
