Willis and Ozturk is worth a shot. I think Maguire needs some time on the naughty step it sounds like he was in the same boat as McGeady he just didn't fight with the manager. Watmore should be playing every game for me, his form might not be great but nobodies is and in a well run team he's an effective player going up to the premier league. I've witnessed it first hand the lad shouldn't be left out.
The safc pr machine ( such as it is ) is wheeling all these hacks and ex players out to rally behind PP. An ex journeyman no mark gary Jones imploring we give PP a chance?? He gets results?? Donald is really scraping the barrel isn't he? Simon grayson saying we should be doing better given our size and budget and eventually we will, if, yes we give him a chance. Pass me the vomit bag.
Willis and Gooch are in training, but both are doubts as far as I know, I stand to be corrected. We do seem to have a knack of loosing key players at the wrong time. Blackpool are no easy hurdle to jump and just the sort of team "BIG" that we struggle against, is this the players or the coach/managers faults that after a season and a half in this division we are still in a quandary, on how to combat the physicality of this league. I feel sorry for Wyke to-day he is the one battering ram we have, and is just returning from a series of injuries, with a crowd hovering on rebellion a lot rests on this lads shoulders. No doubt PP will be drilling the support staff to hoof the ball up to him and hope for the best. This is the result of a year of failed tactics by JR and now PP imo. We should by now have a settled team of the best pass and movers in this league. We have, or have had, the sort of players who might have excelled at this style with the right additions to the already bright array of talent we had coming through 18 months ago, but this approach has been ignored by those employed to get the bet out of the players available. McGeady is the latest demon, yet if the team had been coached to play to his strengths he could have been our savior, both JR and PP have failed to recognise he is wasted out on the wing at this late stage of his career and we have seen the results. I am one of the most outspoken critics of Grigg, and have been from day one but I just wonder how we would do today with a settled team behind these two playing central together around Blackpools penalty area with Maguire and McNulty as back off on the bench, playing in front of a youthfull and energetic midfield four, Meanwhile I'm looking forward to PP's latest team selection more in hope than expectation, but we live in dreams, rather than the nightmare of reality. OaU.
cant see anything but a Blackpool win sadly looks like 5 or 3 at back again playing for a 0-0 like last week he needs sacked
I'm actually glad I'm offshore for this game. I can only see one outcome and although a lot of fans have already turned, today could be very bad.
