Hope the fans stick with the team for the full 90 mins. Can see Hull struggling this season. Dont recognise any of their new players. Teams look pretty equal.
The defence, last season, fell to pieces. They all made some pretty poor mistakes from Sanderson to O'Nien but Burge took the stick. Some of the goals he was blamed for were nothing of the sort but keepers are always the easiest target. I highlighted one goal where Power lost his man, Burge saved from 6 yards. Power turned his back on the player it rebounded to who scored. People, on the match day thread, were saying Burge should've 'palmed it round the corner' when it was fired in at point blank range. It's like falling out with a lass ... ... suddenly absolutely everything they do gets on your nerves.
I’m going to the match with one of my sons. Hoping for a decent display and hopefully a confidence booster.
We've not played any one of significance these past friendly but this game that we should be doing well in , if we want promotion, has the feeling of another Celtic.
I think the majority of Sunderland fans are in agreement with me when I say how bad he is. I would go as far as saying he’s worse than Lee Camp. If we had a competent keeper last season, we would have gone up imo and I will stand by that. How anyone can say he is any good I will never know. Even Coventry fans warned us.
3 of the blocks sold out and only 7 tickets left in total across 3 of the other blocks. Should be a decent turnout tonight.
Whatever happens I hope we play some good football and everyone enjoys it ... ... the new owner/staff will see the SOL with supporters inside and I hope the atmosphere is warm. KLD could be one of the best things that's ever happened to the club.
