It's hard to quantify with him being a defender. An equivalent of his quality as an attacker would be similar money to KLP. But saying that Nathan Collins went to Wolves for £20m last season although he'd been with Burnley in the PL. Adam Webster was £20m and Ben Gibson was £15m. I don't think it's outlandish to consider Greaves in a similar bracket to those.
Its a really tough call Greaves...IMO some Prem club top Championship club will come in for Macca... if the money is too good to refuse, we are without a left sided CB... I've been trying to remember the lads name that just came to me Alfie Mawson who went from Swansea to Fulham for £20 million and that was 2018...
I think if we got an offer anywhere near that then he'd be gone and I think we'd have the better end of the deal. I'd be really interested to see just who Rosie would go for out of macca and Greaves of we had a LB in the Rosie trusted / wanted
To be fair it’s only a Stadium of ****e at the start of the game. Usually by around 60-75 minutes it’s just a Stadium.
Right now Greaves is nowhere near 10 let alone 15 million, no one’s undervaluing him, maybe in 3-4 years he’ll be there, hopefully it’ll be with us & he’ll get to play in his favoured position. When he’s looked good, he reminds me of Maguire when he was marauding forward & taking out 2 QPR players. In the Sun’lan game, I’ve just watched the highlights & I think Greaves was definitely at fault for the first, possibly the second too. The good thing is, he’s young & can learn from his mistakes.
With respect the reason that discussion escalated was you calling me a parasite. The discussion before that point was not as extreme as it became. It was not just for the post you liked, but you have made a number of comments over the past days and weeks that seem very anti-Rosenior, and it was frustrating to see that expressed again following a great performance, despite - in my and some other's views - not a materially different style of performance to against Rotherham. You disagree, and that's fine. But calling me a parasite for being frustrated at your narrative was very much over the top.
Looks like more and more are starting to see what used to be such controversial opinions, like Greaves not being a left back, being better with Tufan in the team, and Ally not being the Cristiano Ronaldo regen.
Whenever anyone who has never been a copper starts a conversation with “Son, as a Police Officer, I get spat at, sworn at, bitten, younameit” !!@@!!@.
It's not quite as irritating as 'Don't take this the wrong way, but...' Years ago I worked with a bloke who used either phrase to start the majority of his sentences. He was a Gunner Gooner. Need I say more?
Any trite phrase which is used in conclusion is the mark of a ****. Which reminds me: I got accused of being passive aggressive last week for correctly punctuating a WhatsApp message. What's that all about?
