Lincoln are a very clinical side, but don't be lured into the trap of sitting back on them. Batter them from the off and just be ready for the counter attack and you will get across the line. Good Luck.
A couple of months ago I'd have backed Sunderland to coast these but after the back of the last 6 or so games the biggest opposition for Sunderland is Sunderland
Now it’s settled, looking forward to these two games. Worry about our form going in, but it’s a cup knock out now. We can do it.
Karl robinson(Oxford manager) is banned from the touchline for 4 matches starting today ! he would miss the possible wembley game probably against us, and of course that will be some game if it comes due to what happened up here. did any player nut the goalkeeper ? Barton might have sneaked into the tunnel before half time lol.
Quite right. Both Peterborough and Charlton recently put 3 past them in the second half of their games, proving that if you get at them they crack. We also beat them 4-0 at their place. Diamond had them on toast that day, so it was a bit of a surprise that he wasn't in the starting line up for the return fixture.
First leg is on my birthday (I'm nearly 47). I'm on the night shift so what are the chances Sunderland will compound my misery...
Hi guys, Charlton fan in peace. Nothing against Lincoln, but I hope you guys get promoted this time round, it's past due. No favourites in a play offs, it's too scrappy, but I'd say you have team enough to go up. Fingers crossed I can congratulate you all in a few weeks time.
Nothing is surprising with Lee Johnson if I’m honest. Makes some very bizarre decisions at times and is blinded to certain things that are obvious to everyone else. I don’t feel confident at all going into these games with his constant tinkering.
I hope that Johnson and the whole squad get their fingers out of their arse, and focus 100% on getting the job done Wolfy. We'll know soon enough.
I’m preparing myself to be disappointed. Meanwhile a quick trip over the road shows a number of people are practically suicidal. Worst outcome for me would be losing to Oxford in the final. Nooooo!
Here's hoping... I keep thinking that at some point we will play well and win... When we were on the good streak, often we still played relatively poorly, but managed to keep a clean sheet and the Wyke/Mcgeady combination nicked a goal. I would be happy with that for the next 3 games, but with Sanderson gone, the defence leaks goals. As the saying goes "It's the hope I cannot stand"
Chin up Janey, LJ has promised us a battle cry, expect tension and excitement to be ramped up this week... Hhaaawwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy the Lad's
I'm not worried as I think we can handle anyone over two legs. The final however, that's a different matter entirely.
