Having Mags in the family and a mag as a best friend that 5 in a row is my most painful memory of derbies, easily, my life was made hell. The 5-1 was off the back of us beating you once in over ten games. I was numb by the time we took that beating personally. I had an indifferent view, much similar to some of the indifferent views on this thread. The 5 in a row certainly hurts most for me personally.

Don't post too much on here anymore so not sure who's about/if anyone remembers me but if you do you'll know I don't buy into the hatred of mags that a lot of my mackem pals do.

That said... With the position we are in I really, really hope we turn you over.

0-0 I reckon. You lot comfortably bored, us crapping ourselves.

Fredor is a true mag, and one of the finest most upstanding pillars of our board / community. He's not going anywhere

Apparently he is on the shortlist for Mag poster of the year along with MrTiote and BRS (who I think will corner the un- PC vote).
On to the game though and its been so negative and disinterested on here that I have a sneaking suspicion we will win this.
Hope you are all going dressed as schoolgirls - it will be great listening to the commentators trying to explain that to a global audience.

I'm finding it very hard to get excited about this derby. I have mixed emotions about it too. Don't really want to see them make it 5 in a row, but at the same time a win for us could mean this is the last derby for a while (if they can't beat us then where will they get points from?) and I wouldn't want to see them going down. A draw would probably be the best result.

A more acceptable outcome would be us winning 4-0 but then the result being reversed for us fielding an ineligible player - this was due to Carver having to fill in at left back and forgetting to submit his player registration. And them then being given the 3 points and a 2-0 victory.

Just think of us beating them 4-0 with Carver at LB.
Just how crap do you think they are?

I remember you Disco. We lost you after taggate didn't we. Me and ACS did apologise for our sins, but we were never quite forgiven by all :emoticon-0106-cryin. I can't speak for ACS but I've been suicidal about the whole affair. Being honest though that all just got out of hand and we probably pushed our luck a bit. I think folk do forget its just a forum though.

I used to enjoy the banter on your board on the old 606 and when we first got to this one. No one ever got upset. Except Todger when I lied about my mother <laugh> He never quite got over that. There used to be some almighty threads around derby days and just generally. Pages and pages of inane ****e that could never happen now. It would get closed for clogging up the board etc. What people seem to miss is its those threads that make forums, they are threads people remember. You have to let **** flow, but in amongst it all some really funny stuff will get said.

The crack with the likes of yourself, Billy, Syd, Sid, Comm, Gonads (or whatever he was back then - Brucies Beak?). Even Cest when he wasn't taking his ball home. Gonads is a big miss from these parts, had teflon like skin for whatever we threw at him. Good footy knowledge too once we stopped behaving immaturely. Its all got a bit serious now. You have to be careful what you say and everyone seems to get upset at any sign of immature WUMMING.

We had great WUMS on BBC606. I paid homage to a few recently with username changes. David Moyes Wife, Boro Gully - crazy bastards. Some great recipes came out of it too.

    Ah the good old days.
