Fair enough I just can’t see how anyone can be “guaranteed” football. He was more than likely told he was much more likely to be playing this season. What if his form nose dives etc. Or he looks like he’s not putting it in on the pitch? That’s all I’m getting at. Guaranteed first team football is licence to take the piss

That’s the problem, puts us in danger anytime a shot goes near him. Replacement needed ASAP.

That was one massive banana skin kicked into touch, onwards and upwards now, at last.

Yesterday, everything about the day was brilliant and 2 moments that had me in stitches.
1st one was when onien feigned to take a free kick and stepped over the ball, one of their players trying his hardest to cut it out and onien staring at him laughing his head off
2nd has to go with the fans, “you’re just a **** Ross Stewart” to Charlie wyke. Brilliant

I also liked it when Gooch dummied a clearance and let it run out for a goal kick in front of the Roker End second half. I think it was Jordan Jones who was attacking for them. <laugh>

Just watched that Gooch attempt again. It honestly looked over the line.

A great win, against a good side, in front of a massive crowd ...

.... so the Chronicle leads with a 'dodgy penalty' headline <laugh>

And follow it up with daft comments from the Wigan manager,

"“It was disappointing to concede straight away after we went in front.
I’ve been told that it wasn’t a penalty, and I felt that that half-turned the game."

A classic. The referee tells him it was a penalty but some mystery man tells him it wasn't so it's not. Reetio.

And a goal that brought the match level, early on, turned the game in our favours ...

... get me out of here.

You can hear the ref telling them that it was a pen in the tunnel at half time on the access all areas video. Definitely a pen imo. I thought the ref was pretty good yesterday tbh.

I was out of my chair when he pulled O'Nien up for a foul ...

... looking at it again he was spot on <laugh>

Can tell he was ex PL. Had that composure about him. Good choice having him as the ref as it was a sniff away from a real out of control game. Ref kept it in check.

A normal league one ref would have lost control, big crowd, big pressure. The vast majority of them can't handle it.

Happens to me all the time. Convinced the ref is wrong and when the replay is shown, 9 times out of 10 they have it spot on.

Really enjoyed being back at the stadium yesterday, a good competitive game with a positive support and the right outcome. HTL.
