I dont go overboard on stats as a rule, but the number of shots we have, and how many are on target seem to ring a bell
Away lads calm down. This is SAFC we are talking about. They build you up and then always drop you from a great height. PS, I am worried cos it hasnt even hurt.
Broken indeed mate. No surprises for me mind. Just highlighted how far we have fallen under Parkinson. Players can't remember how to play football. He asked them to pass the ball but they were slow there was no movement Unfortunately not a quick fix lots of work to do and the players need to step up.
Well, I was planning on looking at the league table for the first time in yonks - chips pissed on again.
where to start ....fitness levels ****, passing atrocious, game plan crap, team selection terrible, tactics a joke, in effect a team with no will to win no teamwork and a couldn't care less attitude, how to fix basic fitness levels need to rise 70% will to win reinstalled, basic passing improved dramatically any one not up to scratch not picked. Ultimatums give buck up or ship out , 3 forwards packed off anything's better tan those 3. academy plays should be played until so called professionals prove they are good enough. that's my choice if you disagree talk to someone else, so dejected now I'm off to cool down before i say something ill regret
Reet, positives for me: Back 4 suits us a lot better McGeady looks Ok considering the time he has had out and got 75mins Attacking subs made earlier in the game Food for thought for him definatley. Overall gutted to see us get beat, obviously; but this happening in his first game may be a blessing in disguise, I'm optimistic for the future And yes, I do realise the result was awful against a ****e team. (Secures tin hat and retreats to the trenches.....)
Disappointed with the result but still thought we played better than we have under Parky. Our play in the final third remained dismal like and far too many times we gave the ball away needlessly but at least we were trying to make something happen. Few green shoots but overall fairly frustrating.
Well that was horrible, plodding, slow, I lost count of the aimless crosses pumped into the box with no end result. The definition of madness ,is doing the same thing and expecting a different result ,we never seem to learn. Why is Scowen taking corners, he must have hit the first man every time. Over to Lee Johnson he now know what he has to work with, the poor sod.
The players make the game so hard for themselves. Their passing is hopeless at times - when we need to move it quickly they roll it 15 yards to the man instead of putting some pace on it. There was only really Scowen and McGeady today who passed it properly in open play. They see the pass but take a couple of extra touches before playing it. Even short throw ins bounce before the player instead of onto his foot. Our set pieces are shocking - Scowen never beat the first man. All this means we are so easy to play against - 2 lines of 4 and wait until the final 3rd to engage. It will take time but now it is all about work on the training pitch. They need to work on patterns of play that suit the personnel. The amount of times today Grigg made a good movement to find space between defenders but no-one thinks to slide a ball in, instead it goes wide and a cross goes in which invariably isnt accurate. We need some real variety in the final 3rd and much more play on the deck because defenders in this league love to head it. As someone said Johnson will know what a task he has with the players. Be keen now to see which coaching staff he brings in.
Watched the 2nd half, (played golf till it got dark).. Same old problem... to win football games you have to score goals... all strikers need to be 'let go ASAP...ie January and 2 or 3 new ones brought in.
I don’t think anybody is to bothered to tell the truth I found it quite funny to be honest, now he knows exactly what we have known for the last X years, good luck to the poor bugger.
I think with a bit of decent coaching this squad could be good enough, we need professional guidance that has been missing for years. The old guard of which a lot {too many} started to day and proved once again that they are well past it, and only an injection of fresh enthusiasm and pace Adamson style will get us moving in the right direction. At this rate this team will struggle to reach the play-offs, and be lucky to end up in the top half.
Can you believe, he's managed 4 clubs. This is the only the 2nd or 3rd loss in 16 games at the start of his management of a club (first 5 for each club)
