Match Day Thread Super, Super Saints v Sunderland, Sat 27 August, 3PM

Sunderland will 'park the bus' today - it will be a close game; our usual problem will be the final third and our inability to break them down or shoot from distance. See us edging this a cagey 1-0. If they manage to score first - it will a very tough afternoon.

 

Any regrets I had about missing today's game have now been assuaged.

 

The league table is not looking nice atm, I know its only 2 games in but you can't help look! We need 3 points. COYR!

Moyes being complimentary about Saints. Be good if a few fans were this clear headed about what the club has achieved....need solid foundations.

Some chap just said that to me in the oetrol station when he saw my shirt. I'll say the same as I did to him.

We'd like it, but he doesn't need it. It is only game 3.

 

Pressure starts to build so quick, just want him off the mark so he has freedom to breathe. I like what I see from him, but without wins, it gets harder and harder.

 

Good selection which can play as a diamond or a 4-3-3, hopefully the latter! If we can keep Janujaz & Defoe quiet Sunderland carry little threat but their poacher is always a threat! Hopefully we can take the lead as from going behind it is always a lot harder.

The Long and Redmond pairing looked all wrong at Old Trafford and Long had a poor game that night - so Austin gets a chance to prove himself. Lets hope he takes it...
