**** defence no decent striker attacking power ! Lucky to still be in championship after this season but enough other crap teams kept us up !

Doubt much will change for the better in the window ?

Does it ever? <doh> Attack needs more work than defence, that's how bad it is.

What a **** season. Not even sure we’ve improved from Duff under the new guy. Not optimistic about the pre season. Seems it will be 70% different players again next season as seems to happen each season nowadays.

Just pray that England don’t win the Euros or it will be insufferable for the next 60 years.

Couldn't watch this game as I was on the motorway picking up an Audi with my youngest boy, saw the score at 0-0 half time, but this was a game that symbolically reflected our garbage season, we are just making up the numbers in the bottom half of the championship now, a season to forget.....<laugh>

I really enjoyed last week's game and from the last few games it seems they're really putting the effort in, consistently, so I'd say we're definitely better than under Duff. But... we don't have the quality to compete above mid table and even if Luke does have the know how to compete we're not going to get the quality in. Like you say, and we all know and have seen consistently, lots of personnel change and a deficit in quality at the end of it.

You're lucky you don't live in Engerlaaand! <cheers> A lot noisier here!

Even if we do find a hidden gem that excels here they'd flog him asap putting us back to square one ? Unlikely to get any owners that will risk Thier money here ?

Unfortunately, the economic and financial reality of life in The Championship (in particular ?) is the strong likelihood, nay probability of operating losses, with the inevitable ‘cash burn’.

An FA Cup run would help clubs although the decision to end replays will reduce and curtail the opportunity.

Therefore, finding and/or developing talent for onward sale to ‘bigger’ clubs is a necessity to survive, let alone thrive.

Obviously, the owners (of any club) can inject funds, either equity or loans) - as the Yanks have done this season.

However, I would suggest that they don’t have bottomless pockets.

The need to (at least) balance the books is as great today as ever. <cheers>

Just how much of YOUR " money will YOU risk here "?

    None, of course.

Only idiots, or the mega rich, sink their money into your average football Club.

The reality is that Swansea, along with countless other Club's, hope to unearth a hidden " gem " or two. They can sell them on, and make enough money to keep them afloat, thereby avoiding going to the wall. Isn't that what you would want them to do ?

Change the record ! Stating the bleeding obvious is easy for you to say ! Repeating the same thing expecting a different outcome is madness but that's where we are and seemingly powerless to break the chain !

Oh dear, I really have no worthwhile response to that, other than suggest that you need some help to deal with your " madness ". It's available out there.

Rather than an essay explaining how I've seen your posts to others that dare to disagree with your yank loving point of view I'll just summarise it with....

Shut up you obnoxious twat ! <cheers>

    Apologies Veitch :emoticon-0131-angel
After another average season similar to last where they're not very good mid season then get better to late at the tail end, then to to miss that pen and losing after it was very frustrating. So like others all season I vented half expecting your usual bait, that I bit this time in the heat of the moment <cheers>
Like others if I was wealthy enough I'd love to inject enough cash into this club to improve its health on and off the pitch, but I'm not a rich yank or Arab no no dice ! <peacedove>

Let's avoid a slanging match and thank Taff for his unfailing match-day threads each week. How he manages to find the time and keep up the enthusiasm I'll never know.

Outstanding effort and no doubt appreciated by everyone on here. <applause><applause><applause>

    Cheers Aswan <cheers>

In all honesty, I enjoy doing them.

It’s just a shame that we are now a dwindling band of posters. :(
