Swansea City v QPR Competition - Sky Bet Championship Venue - Liberty Stadium Date - 11 February 2020 Kick off - 19.45 Following their disappointing 2-3 home defeat after the hands of Derby County, next up for Steve Cooper’s faltering Swans squad is a home match against QPR. Last Saturday, Tom Lawrence powered in Derby County's winner as the Rams fought back from 2-1 down at The Liberty in the Championship. Derby took the lead against the run of play when Martyn Waghorn scored from close range off a rebound. Yan Dhanda equalised and Kyle Naughton put the hosts ahead before Duane Holmes hit back. Wales international Lawrence struck the winner as Derby stayed 13th while Swansea dropped a spot to ninth - level with Cardiff. It was only Derby's second away win of 2019-20 in the league, the first coming on the opening day of the campaign. The defeat meant that the Swans have only won 7 of their last 25 Championship matches. Whilst the Swans were losing to Derby, Huddersfield were moving six points clear of the Championship relegation zone as goals from Elias Kachunga and Steve Mounie condemned QPR to a third straight loss. Kachunga opened the scoring after 57 minutes with a close-range header from Harry Toffolo's cross. Mounie doubled the lead from the penalty spot just three minutes later, after Kachunga had been brought down. QPR skipper Grant Hall's first-half header against the post was as close as the visitors came to a goal. The Swans have played QPR on 48 occasions, winning 15, losing 20 and drawing 13. In the reverse fixture in August, the Swans ran out 3-1 winners. Turning to Tuesday, I’ve a feeling that the Swans will run out 2-1 winners
The problem is that s clueless will change the team around for what seems the sake of it....I would like any type of win....Hull next and it’s a hell of a long way to go on a Friday especially Valentine’s Day.....
I’m lucky we will go out on Saturday when we can have a relaxing meal and not be told that the table is booked again in a fe2 minutes l9l
Swansea City 1 - 2 Queens Park Rangers I don't know why I'm going for that scoreline, but I have no emotional pull towards any score.
I work with a QPR fan who, for some strange reason, is dreading this game so I hope he is right. 2-1 to the Swans
Well you're in luck I won't be there so we have a chance ,for some strange reason training courses for work have to take priority . As it happens I'm staying in a Premier Inn opposite Elland road , but they're away so no live match for me
After another home capitulation, and against a team that had forgotten how to win away from home, there is not much optimism from fans. The question is have the loan trio improved the team. The Wilmot - Cabango partnership was abandoned in favour of Rodon-Guehi, with Guehi making costly mistakes in each game he’s played so far. Gallagher starts brightly but fades badly and is one booking away from suspension. Brewster is fairly anonymous so far. We are hopeless from set pieces and look weak in every area of the pitch. We are amongst the lowest scorers in the division. Lose tonight and the knives will be out, win and we’ll feel just a little more optimistic. I’ll be glad when vdH returns to resume the Rodon-Hoorn partnership that worked so well earlier in the season.
