Not impressed own goal saved us and nearly blew it at the death . No decent striker so hit it straight at keeper all game ! But we won luckily so safe now to hopefully buy a striker and a new defence ( fat chance ! ) for next term.
That was a bore feast, couldn't put one goal past Rotherham at home, who have just 24 points, I know they came and parked the bus, but we lack a cutting edge in the final third, another bottom fodder game next week against Huddersfield, more of the same I bet. The gates are a reflection of our poor football on display, 6000 empty seats with 15,000 attendance.....
Huddersfield have to play Birmingham, so only 1 of those could get above us (and Huddersfield only could on goal difference - but they are 14 worse than us) Sheff Wed have to win all their games to catch us - but their goal difference is 22 worse than ours. We are safe
Even if we have a good transfer window and that's a big "if", would that be enough for us to do a lot better next season? I suspect not but hopefully Luke's still growing into the job.
We survived and will finish low enough for Luke to be here another season at least ? Before he jumps on the managerial conveyor belt like all the others that did ok at our club on thier journey .
If he does get the call up then Brighton will be selling him to newly interested parties You can't win at this level.
Perhaps the abuse and insults heaped on most, if not all, Swansea Managers in recent history was instrumental in them setting out " on their journey ".
