we won’t go up with this defence though.

Some cracking attacking play, some shockin defence.

 

To come back from 2 goals down the past two home games shows character, although we should not be in that position in the first place.
One win in the last eight games does not inspire confidence I'm afraid.
Next season we'll still be in the 3rd division.

 

Think we’re good elsewhere but defence is a shambles other than maatsen , oshilaja isn’t too bad tbf

Indefensible.

There have been too many poor results and poor performances to explain them all away now.
It's a pity, because if this goes on there will be nothing to look forward to between now and the summer transfer window.

Still it would only take a couple of wins to see Charlton right back in the mix - not just hanging on because we've played 2 or 3 more games than most of the teams around us.
But one of those wins was supposed to be today. This fixture should have been a home banker.

 

So let's hope Maatsen is ok

 

the fact he still doesnt want to sign a defender is a bit of a surprise to me. i'd have thought it was a neccessity now.

How can we simply rely on our best 4 or 5 defenders being fit all the time?
That clearly is not going to happen.

(I'm temping fate now, vainly hoping that now I've said that, God will make them fit for the rest of the season just to spite me)

 

Even just having Famewo back would make a big difference. All that attacking play thrown away by poor defending. But, the players are 100% motivated, so any suggestion that Bowyer has lost the dressing room is wide of the mark. I think we will make the playoffs.
