Put his troubles aside and just ****ing watch that goal over and over again. You will struggle to find a better individual goal scored by a Newcastle player at SJP. Quite simply it's one of the best Newcastle goals I've seen. ASM is well capable of that sort of stuff.
The goal Ben Arfa scored vs Blackburn in the FA Cup the same season at SJP was far better, he literally turned their entire team inside out.
People on twitter are hilarious. The woe is me comments are funny as ****. The PL hate nufc If this was man Utd......
I remember watching it and shuddering when I heard the snap....quite how he only got a yellow for that I'll never know. HBA did well to come back from that if I'm honest.
? We'd only seen him for a few games before the injury, and he came back fully fit and with ridiculously skills and scored goals like the Blackburn, Bolton and West Brom ones. His problem wasn't a lack of pace or something that resulted from the injury, it was the fact he was a greedy ball hogger and clearly didn't get on with the result of the dressing room.
Yeah and with a similar reputation, skilful but greedy, talented but a trouble maker. The peak of his career was with us.
Well **** me you're right again as it turns out. I was convinced he did....I certainly remember him still being on the pitch afterwards and thought there's no way he could have gotten away with anything less than a yellow. Quite how Martin Atkinson saw it and deemed that the right decision is beyond me....i could hear the snap on the telly.
true, but not the debate I was having I disagree .. I've had bad injuries, so I'm confident in what I stated
Absolutely! Any type of break or serious muscular injury stays with you for ages not to mention the psychological issues arising from them.
