I would only allow him to go there if they gave us Defoe. Otherwise, send him abroad. What we cannot do is sell to a relegation rival. Anyway, Sunderland are skint. Can't even afford loan players etc.
it was confirmed yesterday by both sides that a deal was being thrashed out. I think I may go over to the Norwich board and see what they think about him.
Baston and Olsson could turn out to be like the summer signings of Eder and ( can't remember his name but played left back ..or should I say that's where he would have played if he played ) only Baston and Olsson will have costed double . Hope Olsson works out but was expecting better and if not better ... no one at all , just turn Naughton and Kingsley lose .
Remember all the crap we were receiving after selling Shelvey last season and look how that turned out for both sides. Sometimes a player needs to go if he's not committed to our cause. After KI's attitude towards Guidolin I get the impression that he's a bit of a prima donna and may bring a toxic atmosphere. Similar to Taylor.
Everybody seems to forget two things about Ki 1: he got a late start this season ( no preseason ) ..2: Our highest finish in the table season , Ki was our 2nd highest scorer ( I think )
Olsson is highly regarded by Norwich fans and think we're getting a good deal judging by what's been posted on their forums
Well he's ponced about the pitch for the last 18-20 months. If the right offer comes in, sell him imo and bring someone else in. I'm surprised we haven't gone for someone like Lucaas at Liverpool. A wealth of experience and would do a solid job in the middle. Hopefully Makelele will have a player up his sleeve.
The season in between everyone was crap valley , but you do like to finger point at a restricted amount of players when times are tough . Then Ki got injured and when he came back he was very strong the last few games that season ... winning a MOTM against ( I think ) Liverpool .
I'm not going in circles with you on another player Roof, but Ki has been a pathetic excuse of a PL level player the last 20 months or so. A lack of heart, effort, commitment, desire, ability or interest.
You can be the best player in the world but if a player isn't committed or has a general bad attitude it can be infectious and bring the whole team down. Speaking from experience as being a manager (not football) We've only seen a committed and settled KI for one season I'm afraid. It's a shame because he is a talented player but isn't consistent enough IMO. The only manager who has got the best out of him was Monk.
The only time I've really seen him play was in the 2012 Euros for Sweden and against us and he's been half decent from what I can remember.
The first 19 Premier League games of last season , Siggy had 2 goals , but you don't here a peep about it from some .
Thing is with Siggy, even though he's had some slumps while he's been here, he has always given us 100% and has often carried the whole team. If it wasn't for him without a doubt we would have been relegated last season. And possibly our first season too.
He holds great real estate and has a cushy spot over all with us and always has . Siggy has always had the oppourtunity to practice his trade from " The middle four squares of the chess board " as the attacking midfielder and is able to get to plays easier than anyone . Don't get me wrong , I love Siggy but he's always has the best spot .
