No matter what the result, nothing will be proved as this is CR's 9th game and 3rd month in charge. Even if we lose 5 on the trot and are adrift the bottom of the league he has matched NP last season so wait until the 6th before being so pessimistic.
Dropping our best player and introducing possibly our worst (Simpson), on the surface, bizarre to say the least. But let's see how it works out...
Albrighton and Schlupp cover the full back while Mahrez doesnt as much No surprise we look more solid down the flanks Its just a sacrifice you have to make with Mahrez. It was the same with Knockaert
Yes! And so far, so good too. If it carries on like this, it'll be pizza for tea tonight! As Proud says, Albrighton and Schlupp offering much more protection down the flanks. Norwich for some reason keep attacking down the right (our left), but they should be targeting the weak link on the other side. Naivety on their part, but not our problem. The only negative is that Okazaki, despite working VERY hard, still doesn't look like scoring. Hopefully, that'll come though. Probably not a penalty either, but I think we're still owed lots of good karma from last season!
Looking good so far, Norwich haven't had a sniff, especially down our left where the Schlupp-Fuchs combination is working nicely. Only downside is we probably should be a couple of goals ahead. Great penalty by Vardy, he's played really well so far. Kante winning everything in midfield, as usual!
He is defending from the front and knackering anyone trying to mark him - combined with Norwich having to attack now it will be better for Mahrez when he comes on.
Not sure what's going on in midfield today. that has been by some distance the strongest part of our game so far this season. Much credit to the Leicester team though for closing down very quickly and effectively nullifying anything they try to do.
They're saying on the stream that Mahrez has a shoulder injury, which may be why he was dropped. He may no figure at all then.
Don't need him atm - we are dominating in every area to the extent that the crowd are chanting for Ranieri and Shakespeare when Norwich have the ball.
Simpson buggered himself up and has disrupted everything. Norwich wouldn't put the ball out so Huth hacked down whoever had the ball getting a yellow card.
