Ben Chilwell should be fit to return. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell Ndidi Tielemans Praet Maddison Vardy Perez Subs- Ward, Morgan, Justin, Choudhury, Barnes, Albrighton, Iheanacho
Schmeichel Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell Ndidi Perez Maddison Tielemans Barnes/Albrighton Vardy 4141 Sheff Utd’s main threat comes from their width and overlapping centre backs getting past the wing backs so a narrow set up could leave us vulnerable out wide. Having Vardy, Albrighton and Perez pressing from the front will help pin them back and mitigate their threats. We should still dominate the middle as well with Maddison and Tielemans
Perez needs to be dropped as a winger - man is a striker/#10 and I have no clue why Rodgers is playing him there when we have Albrighton fit and ready.
Todays a tough one with the overlapping centre halfs. I think the game they get found out they will get hammered. If they leave space at the back there is no one better to hurt them then Vardy and im sure he desperately wants to do it being a Wednesday fan I think Brendan might start with a different shape as I bet he has been looking at a potential weakness
Ndidi dropped Schmeichel, Ricardo, Evans, Soyuncu, Fuchs, Choudhury, Tielemans, Praet, Maddison, Perez, Vardy
Had to work hard for that at times, as expected. Brilliant win. Vardy was obviously going to score. What a strike from Barnes. Choudary immense today. Table looks nice.
Great score line and 3 points the key. Underwhelming performance again but it’s early days. Still not convinced the system is getting the best of the talent we have. It was another game with a shortage of efforts on target and we won’t always have a 100% conversion rate from them. That said, an away win is always great and Blades are a good side who I expect to stay up and it’s a tough place to go. Not good to see that one of the city centre bars had to be **** after staff were assaulted by a section of Leicester ‘fans’.
Tielemans was very very quiet today Hamza - man of the match back in the champions league spots though
