My sleep theory is gaining more strength. Woke up at about 2.10am ans went to BBC live commentary. Huddersfield immediately got a penalty and scored. Feigned sleep for15mins and we win 3-1. Guaranteed a win midweek now.
Brilliant result and mega proud of our defensive resilience In games like that, titles are won Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Geordie boys taking the pi$$. Resolute performance, Murphy grafted really well uptop and they seemed to run out of ideas. Delighted that gayle got on the score sheet. Saturday night is very young and I've already jizzed over that tactical display
That was 91 minutes of the most nerve racking football I've seen us play this season. Huddersfield's passing game was awesome. We didn't get near them. But we defended very well, and it took a soft pen for us to concede. Murphy properly fits. He gives in defence as well as up front. Ritchie was brilliant. He played the total game. Dummett was rather good too! Nice to see Anita back and he did well. Even nicer to see Gayle get back into the goals - a long range header... On we go to claim our holy trinity at the Majeski.
Surely at some point all the people that keep banging on about playing badly and saying we need to change formation will concede that Rafa Benitez is a tactical genius!!!!!!!!
Got a ****load of abuse from a grumpy barman in north London for getting him to show the match on one screen in the corner of the pub when good ole arsenal were playing at the same time and on every other screen...Well 4 pints later, go **** yerself! Tough, resilient and deserved....in Rafa we trust!
Great result and another stellar away performance. Defended really well. However Chaos, no one is suggesting we change our away approach (bar when he made the mistake of playing no striker). He does need to change our home tactics though. Tactical genius is stretching it mind. It's Huddersfield in the Championship
I disagree I think nothing needs changing mate Zero We have a man that knows better than us and it's about time we stopped picking at hairs
I used to be negative because we were losing week in week out and now I've no reason to moan Why? Because there's nothing to moan about and I know it could be worse more easily than it becoming better
It's silly to try doing anything at this stage but in the summer I'm sure we will if we get in the correct personnel
We've had a brilliant week. Nothing to moan about. The team that ended the Brighton game were inspirational. We defended like top professionals today. All the team did what was required. It doesn't remove from history some of our awful home performances that I've paid to watch this season. Sheff Wed, Blackburn and most recently 1st half against Bristol City. I blame Mitro for two of those shockers though - Rafa probably agrees with me. IMO he's ran out of patience with the Serb.
