Thats very bad in my book, he's a key player for us and one who I think we needed for the run in. Bah!
I have a love hate with Tettey - he can be immense one game and then look like he's just learning the basics in another. Tettey is rather analogous of Norwich (and as others have said of Jerome)
He blows hot and cold and I have always thought of him as a 'Black Ray Wilkins'. Virtually all of his passing is sideways or backwards and he tends to slow the game up. P.S. Ray Wilkins was a far better player obviously
I have to agree that he is a bit of an enigma and having to make a choice one way or another, I though we contained Chelsea well when he went off and hopefully O'Neill/Mulumbu can be an adequate stand in.
I think with 3 CH at the back we can may be cope with out him but back to 2 and we have problems. When ever he has been out we have looked rather too exposed at the back. He will never be great at pushing us forward but he does the dirty work helping the defence better than anyone else. Bah!
I think he is a colossus defensively sometimes when he shields the back four and he's weighed in with a couple of vital goals this season so I think he will be a loss. He (like Dorrans) can slow the play down too much though and is a bit like a modern day Sammy Clingan (always going sideways) but I'd rather him in the team than on the physio table.
Love the 'sideways Sammy' analogy, OCF The fact that he almost always gets the nod ahead of Dorrans and Mulumbu gives an idea of how much we might miss him.
We´ll miss him, no doubt, especially in the more physical games, which those versus our relegation rivals are likely to be. We´ve no-one else who is as strong in the tackle and who can generally boss the midfield, letting others get on with the creative stuff. Big loss imo.
Agree with that RBF. My only hope is that a forced change make just make a spark of difference that shifts almost points into positive points.
