And Les heard he's a chip and dipped him in some mayo he found in the fridge at St Mary's and has eaten him.
My friend bought her son flying lessons for his 50th....so far (2 months later) she has heard nothing, even after texting to ask if the voucher had arrived.
Wow, what a coincidence! My sister told me about two days ago that she'd bought a birthday introductory flying lesson, some time ago for our young 16 year old nephew who does nothing but play games consoles when he's not in school. She thought it might give him a real thrill. Not a peep, not a thank you. I think he's too scared to do something for real.
Been a long time now... How many posters are up for this if we hear nothing by Monday pm? Just to ask if it was received, they can't ignore 30+ emails...
It's likely he will have received more than one letter. Hundreds, probably. It might take him a while to get round to answering them all. It's been what, two weeks? Give him time.
Maybe I'm naive but I'd like to think there would be a "Thank you," from him or the club at some point...
Wouldn't be surprised if you don't hear anything from the club. When contacted the club by email trying to get something signed for my granddad when he was in hospital I didn't even get a reply to say the email was received. Was only hoping to do something to cheer up my granddad before he died.
That's pretty ****ty . How long / difficult is it even to reply ? Celtic got the entire first team to sign a card for a friend at work when he retired a few years ago .
Yeah, it's the thought that someone would have opened that email and decided to ignore it. I know the club will get lots of emails and request so at the time tried not to take it personally. It annoyed my Dad a lot though. Some of my family wanted to start the funeral procession at St Mary's but my dad wouldn't have as he felt the club didn't care.
Like I said though , even a reply acknowledging your request, but explaining they cannot accomdate your request , though it would be disappointing, would at least be something .
Playing devils advocat here, you don't know if the email was read or if it got lost on a huge pile. It is sad the grandfather never got a note, but there will be lots of examples where notes have been replied to. If I had been in your shoes, I'd have phoned the club. That way you put the human touch to a human story and you know that the club have heard as you speak to the person yourself.
Easy to be wise after the event but couldn't she have flagged it so she would have known if it was read?
