Just look at the B&HA player, he never even rubbed his head let alone roll around on the floor play acting. He just got up & walked away as if FA had happend. It must of been for what JB said to the officials surely if not very shocking indeed.
Wonder what? - it is an awful decision. All Beckford did was give him a tap on the head and accidently brushed his foot against his hair - nothing malicious and not even worth a yellow. Card should be resided without question.
Part of the problem is that he goes in with the 'wrong' foot which makes it look worse than it probably was - if you wanted to block the clearance you would expect him to slide in with his right - doing what he did made it look a little like a stamp - i would have had no problem with a yellow - but if it was upgraded to a red for the 'tap' then the FA need to seriously have a word with themselves.....
Ummmm. Seeing that, I can understand the decision a bit more. Beckford's foot is very close to the players head when he stoops to pat him on the back, and he moves his leg unnaturally fast when he walks away. Also watch the players head, it seems to move when Beckford moves his foot. My belief is that it was accidental, but it does look like there was some contact. I certainly don't feel that the Brighton player though there was any intent, otherwise he'd be rolling around clutching his head.
I think the sound on that is misleading, mute it and watch it again. The linesman doesn't start flagging after Beckford goes up to the Brighton player, he starts flagging after that when he looks to his left, which suggests it's something that's happened/been said off camera. The alternative is he's flagging for something the referee has given, but I can't think of a time a linesman has flagged for a foul like that after the ref has given it, it's usually just to get the refs attention and draw a distinction with offsides (stationary flag) when the ref hasn't given it.
The linesman is looking at ref (to his left) and then waves his flag. There's no doubt that Beckford was send off for the phantom kick.
If that is the case then the FA will not ban Beckford. Nothing happened so I am expecting Beckford to be available for Saturday.
He dragged his foot over his head you can see his head move when his foot goes over , he ment to do it if he didnt then he need to learn to walk then when he has accomplished that he could have a crack at his attitude
Beckford never touched him. If he did do you really think there centre half would of just got up and walked away. He would of either rolled around like he had been shot or he would of got up and confronted Beckford
Apparently he was sent off "following an exchange of words with Albion's Lewis Dunk" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16909325 Not for violent conduct but for what he said then?
Good - hopefully this and the other crappy decisions against us will spark him and the other players to life and we can win 12 or more of our next 17 games and get into the playoffs
Contributed in B&HA winning the game though did´nt it, still shocking & the lino should be on pub football duty at the W/E
