Hope the bullying stops for your eldest mate. Great to hear about their achievements though.

    Love that mate.

My lads team always give out a trophy to keep for the week for their man of the match on a Saturday morning. Always a lovely little buzz when the boy picks it up :emoticon-0115-inlov

Another proud grandad moment tonight. The grandson's team were presented with the Fair Play award for their league at the Tjfa awards ceremony at Middlesbrough Town Hall tonight after they won their league this season

Both my lads, 13 & 15 do Muay Thai, Thai boxing, they have been doing it about 8 years now & just starting to get matched for proper fights following a number of 'interclubs', basically sparing sessions at another gym with a number of gyms present, they have become more & more keen as times gone on now in the gym 6 days a week majority of weeks.

They were asked along couple of months back to train with Team GB, after couple sessions both have been selected & matched to fight in Waterford, Ireland in June, flights etc all booked, a very proud moment & an unbelievable experience for the pair of them

Good day today. My son got to play his first matches of the season for his Durham u12s side on the pitch at the Riverside.

The first team were out in the nets, including Ben Stokes, the kids were going nuts.

Whist in hospital in early 2022 after my heart operation my granddaughter sent me a message she wrote after her shower. This give me inspiration to get better so that I could get to Wembley with my 3 sons and 3 grandkids. They all mean the world to me and the wife :emoticon-0153-broke

There are 4 teams mate, do you know which one he plays for? Infernos, Panthers, Rockets and Hawks. All 4 were playing 2 matches today. They had the pitch split in two so the games were going in simultaneously. Only got half of our second game done and the heavens opened.

No not sure as it is a young lad that is in my granddaughters school. My youngest grandson, her brother, who played football for a team in Darlington (and had trials with the shadow squad at Sunderland) has just started playing cricket this year for Bishop Auckland U11's (with an odd game for the U13's).
Good luck to your son, might be watching him for the 1st team on a few years

There are lads playing for these teams from all over the County so he could well be playing for one of the teams. Our next game is away to Cleveland.
    Fingers crossed, cheers :emoticon-0148-yes:

We beat the smoggies today. The bairn got 31 runs not out. 5x4s and 1x6. The whole team fielded and bowled brilliantly, they were superb.

Brilliant - think Buttler must have been watching him the way he batted tonight (I know it was only Oman).
Grandson scored 21 for the U13s last night before he was run out - he was hoping he would get to 30 to have to retire :emoticon-0136-giggl
The lad that is with Durham was away with them yesterday playing Lancashire. They got well beat but he scored 42 off 43 balls.

21 for u13 is class for your grandson mate, you mentioned he has only started playing u11s. To go up against the older lads is brilliant, well done to him. He will be buzzing and confident for the next game. <applause><applause>

He was but he was gutted to be run out. He was also run out last week for the u13s - I think he still learning whose call it is etc but that is something they all struggle with. But, considering he started this year and only played about 7/8 games in total he has made a good start - his bowling is quite good as well :emoticon-0148-yes:

Brilliant mate, he seems like he is picking things up really quickly. Being run out on the other person's call is a massive bug bear of my lad as well, and I've told him to say no if there is no run but some lads will run for anything. Tell him to be vocal and call yes/no. Communication is key. :emoticon-0148-yes:

He trys to be vocal but the lad who ran him out last week struggles to run (he has had a hip replacement) so normally doesn't run quick singles but on this occasion set off even though my grandson said no, so he felt presured into running.

We've had that as well. I've said to my son to stand his ground and say 'no' and ground his bat if its not on.
