Ok, I love this series, except for the ****ty bits where Barry is learning to be a thespian. I can't get a full episode, so I've downloaded a number of clips from series 2 ep 5. Barry is a returned vet who wants to give up killing, but keeps getting pressured to stay in the business. Here he's sent to kill Ronny who's rooting the cops wife.

Spiral (Engrenages) Series 7 starts on UK televisiion screens (BBC Four) on Saturday 12 Oktober ..... two hours of bliss with Laure and the boys!
Imagine Woodstock today Cyc.People just standing with their phones not experiencing the music. How times have changed.
Going back to Cover Versions I feel many are little more than Karaoke workouts. Here's 2 that are at least a different take on the original song First a 'wasted' version of Elvis's Viva Las Vegas And here's something really different, Thunderclap Newman's version of Dylan's Open the Door Homer This is off their cult LP Hollywood Dream, and I was one of the cults that bought it. Contains one of my favourite Dylan lines.... Remember, when you are out there trying to heal the sick, that you must always first forgive them
Is this the best series? The Judge is playing a blinder. The scene in the other group’s office showed who ever writes this has real understanding of work politics.
Must be going soft in my advanced years; I am physically and mentally drained after the two hours of Spiral on a Saturday evening!. Auld Roban looks as if he wouldnae be able to manage too much exercise!
Rest in Peace Clive James. The Kid from Kogarah passed away 4 days ago from among other things, B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He was 80. After being diagnosed, he wrote the following poem. Japanese Maple. Your death, near now, is of an easy sort. So slow a fading out brings no real pain. Breath growing short Is just uncomfortable. You feel the drain Of energy, but thought and sight remain: Enhanced, in fact. When did you ever see So much sweet beauty as when fine rain falls On that small tree And saturates your brick back garden walls, So many Amber Rooms and mirror halls? Ever more lavish as the dusk descends This glistening illuminates the air. It never ends. Whenever the rain comes it will be there, Beyond my time, but now I take my share. My daughter’s choice, the maple tree is new. Come autumn and its leaves will turn to flame. What I must do Is live to see that. That will end the game For me, though life continues all the same: Filling the double doors to bathe my eyes, A final flood of colors will live on As my mind dies, Burned by my vision of a world that shone So brightly at the last, and then was gone.
Oddy, Steven King said Felicia Pearson was: "perhaps the most terrifying female villain to ever appear in a television series." Pearson at age 14 was convicted of second degree murder and served six and a half years of an 8 year sentence. Upon release she met Michael Williams (Omar Little) and was invited onto the set. After a few auditions she was offered the role of Snoop.
Best series ever made Cyc Didn't she get shot (in real life)? Edit: My bad, she is still going strong. Mixed her up with someone else
Don't know mate, but she was arrested later on for dope and was released on time served and probation. The shooting might be related to her friend who was shot while she was in prison for murder. I've just read that Williams' "Omar" face scar was the result of a razor attack. What a role. please log in to view this image
I couldn't get through it. I'd been meaning to watch it for years and finally got round to starting it but got to the series just after Idris Elba dies and couldn't finish it. Thought it was dull. Nothing happens. I loved how it was shot and the performances from the actors and actresses were second to none (apart from the lead actor, he's terrible) but there was no drama or suspense in it. Breaking Bad another one I find massively overrated. Gave up 8 episodes from the end in that one. Every episode was pretty much the same and again apart from the performances there was nothing worthwhile watching in it.
Yeah I think it's like most shows Smoke, it gets going early but as the years wear on, it becomes a bit stale. The best episodes probably came in the first and second series.
