Good Morning Everyone, A massive 637,053 fans came through the turnstiles at Elland Road this season with an average crowd of 27,698. The last time this was bettered was back in the 2004/5 season when our average was 29,207. Do we imagine with Rads expected takeover to complete in the next 10 days, that our average attendance will better this? Elland Road enjoyed their very first sell out in six years with the visit of Newcastle last November. Similarly home tickets were also sold our for home fixtures against Villa, the Wendies and Norwich City. Full Table 1. Newcastle United 51,106 2. Aston Villa 32,107 3. Derby County 29,042 4. Brighton and Hove Albion 27,966 5. Leeds United 27,698 6. Sheffield Wednesday 27,129 7. Norwich City 26,354 8. Wolverhampton Wanderers 21,570 9. Huddersfield Town 20,343 10. Burton Albion 5,288 There is a tug of war going on with Brightons out of contract David Stockdale. The newly promoted Premier league side are yet to agree terms with the 31 year old shot stopper. Crystal Palace have joined Leeds in the hunt for his signature. I believe Stockdale is a Leeds fan. That should help us. please log in to view this image It looks like Wood has pledged his future with Leeds, in the short term at least. Wood said: “I’ve been working hard all season to do what we have been doing and trying to get promoted to the Premier League. “It’s been a great season at the end of the day and we’re all looking to build next season now.” It does not look likely that Leeds will offer Sacko a contract at Elland Road. In 38 appearances he has been credited for 2 goals, and 3 assists. When it's put like that, its a no brainer, surely? Lastly, it was 32 years ago today that 56 people died at Valley Parade where Bradford were entertaining Lincoln City. Spare a though for the loved ones left behind. please log in to view this image
Morning Elland and all. Attendances will be linked to the depth of rads pockets. He needs to find cash to buy Jansson Bartley, improve woods contract, sign up the Monk team, buy Elland Road, improve last seasons squad. Will require a **** load of money. Failure to do all the above will be seen as a negative by fans and likely result in reduced attendances. Hopefully he has access to the cash

Eire has nailed it this morning, which is why I believe Radz has a plan to do that with Chinese/Mid east investment. I also believe plans will be finalised to build a new stadium which will double capacity. Not going to happen overnight but I believe thats the only way Leeds can ever get back in the prem and compete in the top 6 of the prem. Season 1: buy back ER, sort out coaching staff, playing staff which includes new players. Season 2: have a redevelopment plan for ER and start building new Stadium whilst playing Premier League football.
Morning all When you look at those stats then it's a no brainer bout Sacko especially as we seem to be in the run for Maddison at Peterborough. Yes Stockdate isa Leeds fan from what I read so it will be intresting to see where he goes in the summer. Many people think he will stay a Brighton
Morning Doc, Chinese investment would be nice, and buying back ER surely is a must. Would the price of ER be set, or can Rad to held to ransom?
VP fire very sad. But more importantly there was a fatality at the Birmingham game we played on the same date. The incident was caused by a poorly maintained and illegally constructed 12 foot wall that collapsed under the weight of supporter home and away fans on either side of it. Typically The Sun and Daily Fail reported it as hooliganism and then never reported what the actual cause was after the inquest. However there was a bit of naughtiness on the train back. All the windows were put through before it left new street (fooking freezing) and the old bill stopped the train at gelderd junction and nicked two coaches of leeds fans. All trains stopped for an hour and a half as the filth waded into leeds fans on the tracks!!!!
The price is set and will be for two more years under the terms of the rental agreement. I would prefer us to build a new ground in East Leeds and tell Teak investments to fook off. The reality is ER is a crumbling ruin and is hemmed in by the motorway and Elland Road. A complete new ground could be built behind the current ground but it is a bitch to get to for most people.
You only get one stab at setting the agenda numb nuts! and you forget that one of ours is always worth more than 56 of anybody elses.
Buy back clause still in force until 2025 I believe but obviously the price is set on a sliding matrix which increase each year we dont do the deal. TA if you remember was set at £8m the year Bates told us the Delph money was to be used. The value of the land for redevelopment was at that time £15.3m so a no brainer for a good businessman but not when said person has other ideas of making more money out of the club (Remember the £19m debt that the auditors missed which stopped a deal going through. Bates stays in charge and we forget the £19m?) By the time Bates sold to GFH consultants fees had been £27m. Anyway you get the drift, buying back ER is a no brainer especially if you have a partner in place to build your new home as long as they have naming rights. ER land has a huge valuation too as its close to city, motorway links .... We are paying c£2m per year to lease it & that robber bates took out a mortgage to spend £7m on improving it a couple of years ago? why would you do that when you dont own it already?
Morning all. If football clubs have to find 41 million pounds to pay a players agent there is no point in getting involved unless you have access to a great deal of money, unless of course you intend to use it as a cash cow as Mr Bates did.
Danny Mills seems to think we fell at the last hurdle due to having a young, inexperienced side. I think he might have a point, My conclusion was mental fatigue, and that fits right in with what he's saying. Thoughts? http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/1...eory-behind-why-leeds-united-collapsed-towar/
Bates style stripping wouldnt work anymore. Radz will have had to pay too much for his 100% and fans would see right through it this time. Only way he can get a return is to get us to PL with a proper squad and facilities. The more I think of it, the more positive Im feeling about Radz unless hes a clown and hasnt done his homework which I doubt
Which players were the biggest disappointment during the run in? Hernandez and Bridcutt were certainly two, one is captain, both are experienced. Bartley, Green, Pontus, Berardi we surely can't say they were not experienced enough and we certainly started conceding a lot of goals. Team selection, chopping and changing, bookings (players scared to tackle towards the end) and purely not being good enough were the reason as far as I'm concerned. I think if we played the season all over again top 6 would still be just out of reach. The same as we did, the players wrongly assumed top 6 was nailed on, the rest wouldn't keep winning and we would easily pick up 6 points, they started planning for the playoffs too early. So is Mills saying Vieira and Roofe were to blame, who are the other youngsters? Would like to know if the other 4 teams were that more experienced and older??
