Well done Bluesky for winning the points and overall. And well done Marg for winning the level stakes and second overall. And the consistent Cyc once again is up there in second place on points and third overall.

Not sure how I managed to win that one back then Ron - I would still wager I lost money on the week as I rarely win overall at Cheltenham. I do remember I won one on the flat around that time and it was an amazing week as everything I backed just seemed to win, I also remember that the comp made me bet in races I would likely have left alone and so ended up having a great week.

In a way the old forum was better in that it had a bigger pool of posters but it was also worse as it had no in house moderators and we ended up relying on those awful BBC mods whom Arkle knew very well how to play, in other words wind everyone up as much as you like but just don't swear. At least now if someone is an arse we can just show them the door. What really wound me up about Arkle was that he actually knew his stuff and had some decent opinions but I have never come across a more objectionable man in my life, if he could have had a different personality he would have made a great forum member, anyone else's personality would have done, Pol Pot, Jeremy Clarkson anyone's would have done. It was so infuriating to see a decent post put up 15 good comments and then he would get into a fight with someone and the next 60 were a back and fourth between him and another about some horse called Flying Bolt and you would end up watching another thread bite the dust. I think my favourite post of his was one in which he met Tommo in a betting shop opening, comedy gold.

Was Eeez the guy who used to do the shotgun? I remember someone used to bet on each race on a certain day according to the tips we all put up in the morning. I bet the bookies loved him.
