Interesting recently watching a rerun of Ascent Of Man. The days when audiences had an attention span longer than 3 or 4 minutes and could listen to someone talking about something without fancy effects and a booming soundtrack. I see TwoWrights as the irascible Gilbert Harding figure. Have a look on BBC iplayer. Eric Burdon Rock and Roll Animal. Worth a watch.
Oddly enough Ebenezer's Sunday lecture this week was on possible uses for the Roman dodecahedron. Steverico's suggestion whilst interesting, could prove to be anatomically difficult, although Rovertiger said he was willing to give it a go. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
More akin to Mike Harding. Which reminds me of an oldie. Q, what do you call a sarcastic cowboy? A, Tex Piss. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Seen both. It was refreshing to watch "The ascent of Man" again. Reread his book about three years ago as it happens.Used to listen to "Brains Trust" before it became a TV show.
The Eric Burdon one was interesting. Enjoy hearing Steven Van Zandt’s thoughts. If you look him up what a long and interesting musical career he has had. And was in one of my very favourite TV shows of recent years Lilyhammer.
Went to a 2 x Michelin star Indian restaurant today. Food was really good, original, surprising, good service and ambience. Was it worth the money? Not sure, it’s still Indian and for me it lies a bit heavy in the stomach. Worth a try if you’re that way inclined, in the area and feeling flush. Gymkhana, Albemarle St, just off Piccadilly.
