I'm the big nature fan of the household, but my mrs is a proper water baby. Spends most of her free time avoiding our teenagers so she can go out paddle boarding. She's dived with Whale Sharks in Oz & a few other dangerous varieties to boot, so is just totally unfazed. And yet I still have to remove a spider from the bath tub. Bizarre.
It’s to the left of where the pub the Cove Inn is. Seen plenty of basking sharks in the summer, the hotter the day the more the chance. Another place I have seen them is a place called Bobs crane out near the lighthouse near the bill.
Not seen one personally, but found that one was spotted just outside Portland harbour this month. https://www.mirror.co.uk/travel/news/monster-fish-can-weigh-25-22203375
They are really peculiar. The first thing you notice is like a flailing in the water, then you realise its a fin. I only clocked what it was because of animal crossing!
Coincidentally, 24 hours after I post this a woodpecker lands on the Juliet balcony bars. Didn’t have much time to catch it.
