    There you go. You've hit the nail on the head. We don't want to think about it, and you're right because it is too absurd to contemplate it. Of course Saints won't blow up twice against relegation-haunted opposition.

    I was away a lot in 2008, and got back just before Christmas to find Saints 'flirting' with relegation. I looked at the table and the fixtures. Two home games stood out: Forest and Doncaster. Both winnable and against relegation rivals. We lost them both and flirtation had developed into betrothal

    Mind you both the team and the manager were totally crap!

    This is Saints. In think I can confidently predict that we will drop points against one or both of these teams. Away wins at Liverpool and Tottenham will see us safe though....

    Not looking likely there will be any changes down there at the moment. Newcastle have had a good couple of weeks. StMaximan(sp?) is quite the player.
