Am I the only one who has a strange feeling we have an extremely historical win at home coming our way? I can just sense that this could be an amazing night for us. Bookmark this mackems and rub it in my face if I'm wrong, but I've got a feeling this is the game where we make it count and climb above the rest. Man City are basically not bothered anymore, but still outclass us for quality. We attack late on and get a winner.
You must have had wonderful dreams last night! After yesterday's defeat and the closeness of the top 6 point wise would suggest no messing about against us - though if we were under Pardew or SM I could see us going for a point and then conceding 6, but with Rafa maybe we can keep that down to 1.
Man City shot themselves in the foot when they announced halfway through the season that their current manager would be replaced by Pep for next season. Dumb or what?
This game may be more important in the manner of defeat than scoreline. What alarms most at the moment is have wasted so, so many games this season (thanks Schteve) and are still nowhere near understanding our strongest XI, mainly because no matter how you polish this turd, it's still a turd. There was a good way of summing up Leicester's ascent the other day - no fear. It's organised, sure - defenders essentially just "get rid", then the other 6 play fast, direct football with quality in abundance - but it's fearless. We're the opposite. Slow, fearful. We need players on that field who can handle the pressure.
Citeh are on the beach and as such, we will be more up for this game than them I think. Exactly one week before this game they play leg 2 of the CL QF so we really need them to beat PSG and if so.. they will be in the Semi's and focussed on that.
Let's hope we don't do our usual thing of getting an opposition team back into form after their poor run.
