Enzo has no idea longer Daka stays on the less chance we have! can see the bad feeling between KDH and Daka
It seems that no matter how bad we play and keep losing to teams in the bottom half, the same team just keeps being rolled out. Daka revives memories of Akinbiyi, all the goals he does score seem to be bundled in from two yards out. Vardy sits on the bench, 9 goals in his last 12 games. If you’ve got a striker in that form you pick him, not one who hasn’t scored for two months.
We feel your pain ..... next up Blackburn who Bristol slammed 5 against ... it's the banana skin feeling
Bearing in mind what is likely to happen next season if we were to get promoted, what would you take now? Championship winners, second place or a play-off final win at Wembley?
I don't think our lot would deal with the play offs at all well. I certainly don't want to. With how close it is at the top, whoever misses out may struggle to get up for them. I genuinely only think Ipswich might be able to. At least we aren't the only **** show in town. Well done Blackburn
Can't do with many more games like that. The win is all that matters at the end of the day, but we certainly got away with one today. Enzo has played that same formation of 3 at the back with Choudhury moving between right back and central midfield before. It didn't work then and it didn't work today. The gap between Coady, Vestergaard and Faes was huge and the space where Hamza should have been was wide open, often with Fatawu tracking back and trying to mark 2. A clinical team would have blown us out of sight by half time.
Not going to knock Hamza's performance today lad was immense as the last line of defence .. main problem was a back 3 with pedestrian pace - can't possibly play that back 3 in the Prem if we get there ... they'd get torn apart ...
I'm not knocking Hamza at all. Like you say, we would have been dead and buried without him. He's just following the way the manager is asking him to play. We lacked intensity in midfield. KDH was clearly struggling after his midweek illness, and Wilf looked very leggy. Not much time to recover before they have to do it all again on Tuesday. Hope we can have Vardy available and a competent back four. If Fatawu can maintain his recent levels then we could cause Saints some problems.
Would like to see JJ or Ben Nelson in as one of the centre backs ... need to have more pace and quicker reactions there ... in fact I'd love to see both ...
Come on Boro, its not often (never in fact) that I've ever cheered on Middlesbrough , but come on you reds, smash Leeds tonight!!!
