Shows the potential ups and downs that are always evident in a two-leg semi final. I mean, I don't think many would have had Villa down to lose over two legs to Olympiakos, and definitely not 6-2...!! Shows that whilst we should be confident, anything can happen

 

Olympiacos possibly have more European experiences as they compete at some level year after year. In contrast, Villa's is more sporadic. And perhaps their focus lay elsewhere.

Thank you for the updates. The "new" Olympic Stadium was the former home of AEK.and, I think, Panathinaikos. So it's just back to the athletics

 

I'm old enough to remember Panathinaikos losing to a Cruyff inspired Ajax in the 1971 European Cup final.

 

I threw that titbit out there using the words, "I think ..." Well remembered young man!!

Funnily enough, PL clubs are set to vote on whether to scrap VAR.

 

No chance it'll pass sadly. Was triggered by just one club and they'd need another 13.

If there was that sort of support for scrapping it it'd have already happened.

Big respect to Wolves though. Love to see it, I wonder if they consulted the support.

I thought there was quite a hefty push in the build up to the second goal. Still, Oxford very much the better side.

 

Bayer Leverkusen have become the first side ever to complete a Bundesliga season undefeated. 28 wins, 6 draws.
