    Barcelona might well be on their way towards AC Milan's current level of being goodish but far from great. As for La Liga is might well soon be on a par with Serie A with its big clubs having less success in the CL, and perhaps opening the way for the likes of Sevilla to get more success domestically.

    Because there are only 16 teams left maybe? You get further in competitions the chances of drawing a top team increase. It's much better than a long trip to City or Liverpool on a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
