Got given a dvd box set so having a lazy day ploughing through them. Watched the first one, it was alright just a bunch of greaseballs shooting one another and eating lots of spaghetti, no more. Forgotten how **** the mumbling **** Marley Brandy is in it. Speaking of spaghetti did you know that most of the Clint Eastwood pasta based films were shot in Tenerife, I read that on the back of a matchbox once. Actually that's a lie, I read it a plethora of times. Anyway, now about to watch Part II. Hope the acting isn't so ****ing wooden. The Godfather Part IV: This Time It's Personal was my favourite in the trilogy so looking forward to seeing that again. Any fans of mindless family orientated mayhem on here? How ****e an actor is James Caan by the by? Has he ever been able to act and has he ever been in a decent film? Probably not I'd imagine. Anyway, time for a number 5 poop before the big flick starts. God Bless.
Seldom has so much been crammed into an OP. Drew - I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability, and I want you to know that Not606 GCers are with you.
Only ever seen bits of the first two Godfather fillums in passing, never seen the third at all. I know Brando was all about the method and that but I thought he could have done a lot better than mumbling through the script with cotton wool stuffed in his gob. Wasn't Caan in Freebie and the Bean or summat?
Ignore Drew, he's at the WUM again. The Godfather and pt 2 are widely regarded as two of the finest movies ever made. Not just two of the finest gangster movies, just movies in general. tbph I thought more or less everyone had seen at least 1 of them.
I actually know someone who was in Godfather 3. That's still not enough to make me want to watch it again, though. I quite fancy watching GF1 & GF2 again but **** trying to explain the whole plot to the wife. That's also the reason I haven't watched 2001 A Space Odyssey for years. 'magine trying to explain that to a woman who struggled to understand the plot to Fantastic Beasts part 2.
I went to see 2001 A Space Odyssey as a double bill with You Can't Stop The Music starring The Village People. Odd combination but it was in Huddersfield which should explain a lot.
Just finished Godfather Part Deux. Worse than the first one and far too ****ing long, a ****ing borefest. Not much spaghetti consumption neither. Let's face it, gangster films are utter ****e with no ****ing interesting plots, just like cowboy and sci-fi films. Overblown twaddle in essence. Oh well, time for Part III.
I watched GF 1&2 again over the festive period along with a few other classic movies that ER no doubt hates. Didn't bother with GF 3 because it's a pile of rancid keek. So it has much in common with ER.
Never seen Labyrinth and have no desire to do so. Bowie did quite a lot of ****e music to be honest, in my opinion. I like lots of stuff Pudsey, just not what I'm told I must like by a bunch of musos.
One can not take seriously the opinion of any cùnt who brands a whole genre of movies as pish when said cùnt is unlikely to have seen every movie ever made within that genre. For that reason, I'm out.
He was also in Bonnie and Clyde, Cool hand Luke, El Dorado, Funny Lady and The Gambler. The Gambler especially is a fantastic movie and Caan is fantastic In it.
