Don't hit the trees, don't hit the sandy bit, don't hit the water, put it in the hole.

    That's golf to me.

Oh ffs. Just when i thought i was getting there.

Look up the world most difficult golf hole. Where you take a helicopter to the top of a mountain.

Million quid for a hole in one.

    67? <yikes><yikes><yikes>

Do you put your breakfast order in, play your round and get back in time for it being served up? <whistle>

I think the Buddon, at Carnoustie is also 67. Doesn't make it any easier though. The par 3's are all tough and the par 4s right buggers with the wind off the sea.

Comm ..... It gets easier particularly when you know about Stroke Index.

Then there's the games; stroke play, matchplay, stableford etc

Don't let the 67 put you off. It's a very very good course and not that easy. Particularly as it's a public course and relaltively cheap... £20 mid week and the greens are amazing (usually). I haven't swung a golf club since December but am due to book for next Tuesday morning.

Why do golfers feel the need to wear the sackless, checky ****ing pants - them ****ing half mast ones?
I mean, ffs, do they realise how ****ing ridiculous they look?
It looks like something they've grown out of.
I can't work out if they're short longuns or long shortuns. <doh>

Plus, it's a sport for posh, rich bastards.
Oh aye, boring as **** as well.

Nah mate when you have an eagle on a hole that is classed as stroke index one. You get your knob out and stroke it vigorously..... well I do

An albatross is 3 under the par. As an example, a Par for the hole would be 5 ..... you finish it in 2....rarely happens
Eagle... when you finish a hole in 2 under. Using example above....you finish the hole in 3 shots.
A birdie is one under the par. Example above. ... u finish the hole in four shots

Why they are called that I have no idea

    Hardest individual sport... hmmm

Not on a physical level, certainly, but with the skill required, what's the other contenders?

Snooker, anybody who's played that knows it's not easy.

    Tennis, physically and mentally demanding.

    Boxing... well boxing wins then.

seen that on you tube, think if you are going to play that course you have to play that hole, would not like to be hit on the head with a golf ball from that height.
